Kapitel 69: A world of lies

I stared at the note in my hand. I haven't done this before. I took a deep breath, finally locating Nathan Lopez's locker. 

'It's just a thank you note, Ava, you got this'. I felt ridiculous having the need for a pep talk in doing this kind of stuff. Well, they weren't my forte. I honestly didn't have to worry about stuff like this before. 

Sighing, I shook off the memories of last night from my head. Thinking about it won't be of help, not right now at least. What happened earlier in the bathroom was enough proof of that. My heart was still as heavy as a rock knowing that it might take a while before Rafael and I will speak to each other again.

Prior to Rafael coming into my life, I was fine living by myself and in my little world wherever I may go. I never had to thank a colleague for shifting working schedules with me. Back then, I had no reason to do so.
