Maya's POV

"What you mean? You know me, Lisa, I don't have time to check the social media, and lately, you know I stopped watching the news ever since I heard about Adonis's engagement with Ferlyn." I said to Lisa, and we are now inside my room.

"Yeah, but if you watch the news, you will learn about it, and I think you will be happy too." She said, and her expressions changed when she realized I am not interested in the news.

"I have seen Adonis at the clearing this morning," I replied.

"What happened? You know, if you still want him, don't make yourself suffer, Maya, give him another chance, don't feel guilty, or feel anything follow your heart, your brothers and friends will understand you, we will not judge you." She responded, and I sat on top of my bed.

"It is not that easy, Lisa. You know how much he hurt me. I don't think I can give him another chance, and he hurt me beyond repair." I replied, and I know my answer makes her so confused.
