She knew that even if Veronica figured out somehow that the man was actually being possessed, with a room full of people, she would probably be careful of her next step.

Chloe finally found someone to possess and come out of the washroom when she did. It was hard enough to wait there all alone, especially with the fear of Ecthra. She wasn't sure but there was a chance that Ecthra was not along with Veronica anymore. With her being a ghost it was easily possible for him to attack her.
