Kapitel 6: Chapter 6: The Knock
Life had been always difficult for Fiona, after Smith's death. She barely went out of her room when she was home. Joanna and Ronald were least bothered.
Fiona came down of those dusty stairs and went straight to the living room where Joanna and Ronald were having their tea.
The fireplace and Fiona were looking equally violent. Fiona had dead expressions on her face. She began to speak and said in a very influencing voice
"I want to talk to you, my parents."
"Yes?" Replied Ronald.
"I don't want to marry Dave. I do not want to marry him."
Ronald questionably asked, "May I know the reason?"
"Because I am married to smith."
"And he died" Joanna completed Fiona's sentence.
"Don't you ever say it again, dear mother." Commented Fiona.
Joanna continued by saying, "You are a foolish girl, Fiona I am very upset. I daresay, you would see your life filled up with so much pleasure; once you will decide to marry Dave Lucien. I am thinking of your good."
"Indeed mother!" She replied, "It seemed to me entirely natural but I was married to Smith once."
"It does not matter." Ronald added, angrily.
"But dad, I think, it matters very much. Since everybody has their own opinion."
Fiona continued
"Perhaps, you will wall me up because of this so I have decided my self that I will not go to Smith's grave."
"No my dear Fiona! If you do not want to marry Dave, then you will have to leave my house."
Fiona stared at him and then gave him a savage little smile.
"Thank you father!"
"You must never return." said Joanna.
"I won't!" She replied.
Fiona packed her dresses and left the house. It was cold and dry outside.
"It is so indecent of a woman to marry two times. Isn't it God? I am a good girl."
Then again she said to her self being more reasonably,
"I have promised Smith"
She walked on the same path that led her to cemetery. But she turned towards left just before the cemetery's gate. It was a silent long road with shadowy woods at its each side. Its evening time, sky was hiding behind the clouds. As she walked to one edge of the road, she found that stony house. She went to it's door.
"Knock Knock"
