Kapitel 190: Marked - Part 2

There were times when I wondered what it would be like to be marked, and there were times when I wondered what it would be like to communicate without saying a single word. Now I don't need to wonder anymore.

My body is tired, but my heart is full.

I am marked.

It was like I'd finally found the missing piece in my heart, and it felt like I could do anything in the world if I were with him. If the past Violet sees this, I bet she will cry happy tears. She'd finally found a company—a company for life.

And it's someone who loves her the way she is.

[You're awake], he said, his voice echoing in my head. For some reason, it sounded better than usual. It was the kind of raspy voice he would have in the early morning, the kind that I like. 

"I am," I hummed, still with my eyes closed.
