"You go back with Mason, I will sort this out." He was sitting in front of her with her hands in his in an assuring manner. "Don't worry, these kinds of people usually ask for money in return of evidence. I will settle it down on any cost." 

She just nodded absentmindedly in return, not sure if she wanted to believe what he was saying but did she have any other choice? She wanted to be hopeful but she was tired of her hopes shattering again and again. 

"He is here," Xavier stood up as he felt Mason's presence near, pulling Isabella up with him. 

After sending her with Mason he made his way towards his car. He left a message to a saved number before spending off towards his destination. After almost five minutes he was parking the car in front of his apartment's building. He took the stairs instead of using the lift as cardio was one of his coping mechanisms with stress.
