The trenches fell inevitably to the Romans right after the Ottomans chose to give up their grounds in return to save the lives of their men. Honestly speaking Antonius was surprised by his Ottoman counterparts' decision, because in his assumption the Ottomans rarely gave up their strategic goals in exchange for the lives of conscripts. But the Ottomans this time proved that his assumption is totally wrong.
