Kapitel 12: The Aftermath
Jack's POV
To be honest, I felt the worst that I've ever felt in my entire life. Just seeing Maggie so upset, made my heart drop.
How could I be such an ass?
I knew I was about to get another earful from Conor AND Joe at any minute.
"You really fucked up this time Jack." Joe said, "Margaret's like a sister to me, and you just hurt her like it was nothing." Joe looked at me in disgust and then, all of a sudden he punched me, straight in my jaw. At first I was in shock at what had happened in what felt like less than a second. After that blow up, he left the room without a word. Zoe stole a glance at me, then went off to chase after him. Then Josh left the room in silence.
"I'm not even going to waste my breath on your sorry ass this time Jack." Conor stormed out of the room and I heard a slam from his bedroom. Which only left Sophia and I in the room. I buried my head in my hands.
"What is wrong with me?!"
Sophia took a deep breath and said
"I'm not going to get into this. It's not my business. This is between you and my sister. Good luck." With a single wave, she too left the flat.
Maggie's POV
I was sitting on my bed facing the ceiling when I heard everyone arguing with each other. I would've gone out there if I wasn't trying to process what even happened.
I need to distract myself from all this shit.
I decided to change into my comfy clothes and check the comments on the video Jack and I did for my channel. While I was reading the comments, I noticed how most of them were saying how cute we were together.
"OMG!! Maggie and Jack NEED to become a couple!!💞"
"Those two are sooooo cute together!!"
"I hear wedding bells!!❤️😘"
I laughed and closed my laptop. Since I was too lazy to be social with anyone in the house, I texted Conor saying,
Mags😼:Hey Con, I'm going out for a bit.
Papa Bear🐻: Okay, do you want me to come with you?
Mags😼: Nah, I'm alright, I won't be gone long.
Papa Bear🐻: alright, be safe.
I locked my phone and drove to the nearest shopping mall. Since I didn't even think to bring my wallet along, I just decided to do a bunch of window shopping. I was wandering around the stores for a while until a group of 12-13 year old girls came up to me.
"Hiya! Aren't you Maggie?" One of them asked with the cutest smile.
"Why yes I am! Would you girls like a picture?"
All of them nodded rapidly which made me laugh. We took a couple pictures together, and everything was fine until the tallest girl asked,
"Are you and Jack Maynard together?" I froze up at his name.
"No, haha, were just good friends." I tried to be as smooth as possible (didn't work).
"Oooookaaaaayyy." The girls looked at each other and giggled before leaving.
Great just as things are going downhill, the viewers want us to be together. I totally give up.
*Buzz Buzz*
Brother Joe💥: Hey,
Mags🌹: Joe, you don't need to rub it in my face that you were right.
Brother Joe💥: Okay first, I would never do that, and second, I was just checking up on you.
Mags🌹: Oh, sorry. I'm better than I was before.
Brother Joe💥: Good. I wanted to know if you were up for coming round' mine to hang out.
Mags🌹: Sounds good, wait. Is there going to be anyone else there?
Brother Joe💥: Uhm, no.
Mags🌹: Joe, I know you're lying. Who's there?
Brother Joe💥: Fine, its Caspar,Sophie, Mikey, Zoe, Conor, and Josh.
Mags🌹: Okay, I'll be there in 10
Brother Joe💥: Great! See ya
Jack's POV
"Conor!" I asked, slamming my fist on his door. "What the fuck do you want?!" He finally answered the door.
"Where's Maggie? She's not here. And where are you going?" I looked at Conor in confusion.
"Why would I tell you in the first place?" He scoffed.
"Come on Con, where is she?" I was on the verge of begging my brother to tell me where she was.
Conor's POV
Should I tell him? Fuck no, but he'll find out anyways when me and Josh leave. But if he comes, everyone will know I told him. UGH! Whatever, this can only go one way.
"We're all going to Joe's." I huffed
Jack's POV
So Joe invited everyone over except me.
"So joe invited everyone, but me." I felt like absolute shit at this point.
"Are you being serious right now? Why WOULD he invite you? You're lucky I even told you about it! I'm leaving. Don't wait up."
Maggie's POV
When I pulled up to Joe's, I saw that Zoe and Caspar were already there.
"Knock Knock."
"Who's there?" Joe asked.
"Your worst nightmare." I played along.
"Your worst nightmare who?"
I laughed. As Joe opened up his door.
"I'm glad I could get a laugh out of you." I smiled at Joe's sentimentality and walked inside. I greeted Zoe and Caspar.
"Oh my gosh. Pineapple! I haven't seen you in such a while!" I ran up to Caspar.
"Ugh, you know I can't stay mad at you May." He poked me in the rib. Caspar was the only one of my friends who called me May.
Joe's POV
It was good to see Maggie being herself again. Whenever she would be upset, I'd feel the same. "Alright, I'm going to get some drinks for everyone." I said as I made my way to the kitchen. I could hear Zoe's small footsteps behind me.
"So now we're just waiting for Conor right?"
"Yeah."
*Ding Dong*
"Speak of the devil." I zipped out of the kitchen to the front door. When I opened the door, I saw a frustrated Conor, with Jack besides him.
"What is he doing here?" I hiss.
