Kapitel 32: Chapter 31

Christy

I was waken by the whispers in the middle of the night. I squinted my eyes in the darkness looking across the room were Elie was seated hold both ears while shaking his head slowly, and whispering "no" over and over again.

I got scared, why is Carmel still here again? What was she doing to him?

I quickly shut my eyes and pretend to be asleep, thanks to the faint moon light I was able to see him looking my way but I don't think he noticed I wasn't sleeping.

I went back to sleep and woke up just minutes later just to see him staring down from the balcony, then I went back to sleep and woke up again this time he was just carving, then I slept finally giving up on waking up any sooner.

"Christy?" I heard the muffled voice of someone calling me, I ignored it and kept sleeping, I think sleeping is the most relaxing and comfortable act God gave to humans.

"Christine!" On hearing my full name I jumped up, just to see Elie staring at me from a far distance.
