Kapitel 18: Douluo Dalu character
I got this thought when reading a Douluo Dalu II story where the MC's spirit eyes are the Sharingan and it isn't just the worm and the depressing death guy in his head (his name can't come to my head right now) but also Indra (or possibly him) giving him more power than canon.
I thought, why not a version where the MC is the incarnation of Ashura. Or at the very least, an incarnation of Naruto.
Incarnation of Ashura route:
The Martial Spirit would be some kind of special tree with strong absorption capabilities and even parasitic ones.
Can summon parts of the tree (the bark, branches, trunk, twigs, leaves, flowers, roots etc.)
The spirit would be durable, great for offense, defense and even support.
It's bark (outer covering) is as durable as the black tortoise beast's shell so the trunk can be used for defense and offense.
The pollen released by it's flowers can buff or debuff.
The leaves can be made poisonous or not (and also shot out at high speeds like bullets or a gun shooting knives very fast). They're very tough like blades and sharp too.
The sap it makes can be consumed to recover energy and boost soul force.
The branches & twigs can be manipulated and shaped into weapons and even summoned separately from the whole spirit.
The roots can also be summoned separately and manipulated to grow and extend however the user wants. The roots are tougher than the rest and if caught by them, they'll drain soul energy. Keep absorbing to add to the users energy reserve so the user doesn't easily get tired during a fight. Can be used for containment.
If the twigs or leaves penetrate an opponent when shot out, the parasitic ability will kick in and they'll grow from within while feeding on the opponents energy for growth. Growth can be sped up by user.
The spirit has strong affinities for Yang, light attributes and life.
Whether they have a second spirit or not is entirely up to the author. They'd have to come up with an appropriate name for the tree spirit.
Incarnation of Naruto route:
One of his martial spirits is probably something along the lines of Sky Heavenly Nine Tailed Fox with very strong light and dark attributes (that when brought together form a bijuu dama like in canon when red and blue mix to make it) and a minor spiritual attribute (used for intimidation and also illusions). The Martial spirit could be used like Kurama in Shippuden and Boruto. Partial summoning or full summoning.
Then second martial spirit would be an actual sun or representation of one and it gives him the elements of absolute fire (which can contend with and trump absolute ice) and absolute light (which beats any darkness even the absolute).
Can be considered support and offense type spirit. The spirit can release healing light.
Can be summoned and used like a rasengan with elements or even without. Can be thrown, telekinetically controlled, size manipulated, duplicated, and even merged with (to look like human torch from Fantastic Four in Marvel).

I'd like to think the spirits I've thought of (except Kurama who except for the Minato-like name, wouldn't look that different from the ethereal figure Naruto summons in Yang Kurama Chakra Mode) are original.
