"Am I happy?" Rosalyn Lockhart asked. She gazed at the man across from her and he was sitting in silence. He didn't take the chance to take a sip of tea or eat a pastry, and despite the cloak still shielding his features from her view—it felt like he was holding his breath in anticipation. The Time Man who offered her to go back in time on multiple occasions was now asking her if she was happy about it? Her forehead wrinkled as she finally gave an answer. "...Does it matter?"
"What?" There was incredulity in his voice.
She couldn't stop a small twitch forming on the corner of her lips, "Does it matter to you?"
Another silence emerged between them. She had returned the question back to him and it made him speechless, which made it all the more amusing. The man was frozen solid in place and didn't seem to know what to do or say. Rosalyn Lockhart raised a hand to her mouth and bit back a small giggle.
"... What if it does?"

No Chesire in this chapter sadly :< We'll see that puss soon enough though, hopefully! But for now, the Queen isn't in fully lashing out in anger—she was more shocked than mad, but now it's time to head down the Court Trial! Madness is in the air, I can almost taste it XD I wish my writing skills could show it more vividly
