Getting to know each other
Laura said "does your father travel a lot, all these business trip, you left here alone?"
Jakes said "I'm now used to that, he is all about work beside you are here now. "
Laura said "wow is that you, you look like your father in this picture."
Jakes said "my child hood memory, my father bought me bicycle, taught me how to ride it and I would pretend that I didn't know how to and just to spend time with him. He thought I was slow he took me to watch cycling show. "
Laura said "oh my babe, mine also is riding bicycle."
Jakes said "Why am I not surprise?"
Laura said "my father used to gamble ask me for lottery numbers, I picked my numbers won few hundreds, he asked me what I wanted I said I want a bicycle and not sure if I still know how to ride it."
Jakes said "you don't forget, I bet you still know how to and what music do you listen to?"
Laura said "everything but only good music."
Jakes said "nah, I don't think so let me see your playlist."
Laura said "here and yours?"
Jakes said "not bad, drake is there of course everyone likes him."
Laura said "laughing out loud, yours trap music can't damage my ears by listening to that."
Jakes said "whatever babe, what have you never done, or like to do?"
Laura said "I have never been in cinema to watch movies."
Jakes said "what and why?"
Laura said "I like talking, asking questions while watching movies."
Jakes said" "keep quiet, we are watching" I can imagine, I haven't travel the world with someone I love. "
Laura said "So, you have been overseas?"
Jakes said "yes, not with someone I love. "
Laura said "I hope you will travel the world with someone you love. Why are you staring at me like that? "
Jakes said "just looking at how beautiful you are, I love your smile. "
Laura said "I love how you look at me, back to the questions, what have you gotten away with?"
Jakes said "I don't know, let me think I crashed my sport car and gave it to my friend, my father thought I was hijacked."
Laura said "did he not involve the cops?"
Jakes said "he did Parker's father is a cop, lied to my father about investigating and I have many cars he never bothered to find out what happened."
Laura said "nah, I think he knows, he wouldn't just let it go, probably wanted you to come clean."
Jakes said "what do you think I should do?"
Laura said "that's up to you."
Jakes said "that's not helpful."
Laura said "I once smoke cigarettes to see how the smoke comes out of your mouth, my father found the cigarettes under my bed and still denied it. From that day I never smoked again, totally quit it."
Jakes said "who knew you were rebellious."
Laura said "I was a teenager."
Jakes said "What are the things you would not do or don't like".
Laura said "fear of heights, hiking mountains, crossing a bridge so walking to a bridge and looking down it's scary, I can walk there but it will take me hours to get to the other side."
Jakes said "I don't like clowns, wouldn't attend a party where there are clowns."
Laura said "like they will invite grown man to a party where there are clowns."
Jakes said "just letting you know in future, our future kids won't need clowns to their parties."
Laura said "Alright."
Jakes said "why do I get a feeling, you don't want to talk about our future?"
Laura said "we are young, let's just enjoy this moment."
Jakes said "we won't be young forever, do you want children and how many?"
She gets a message from Eric. She thought "thanks for saving me Eric"
Laura said "Eric, wants to see me and it's urgent. "
Jakes said "are you not trying to get out of this conversation and tomorrow we are not attending, the exams time table is out."
Laura said "I haven't login to my student portal."
Jakes said "next week Wednesday exams begins, lucky for me I have you as my study partner."
Laura said "that's too soon, anyway we better study."
Jakes said "we have the weekend, and Saturday I have a surprise for you."
Laura said "when did you get the time to do that?"
Jakes said "while we were talking, just got ideas about what we can do on Saturday."
Laura said "fine, let's study now and tomorrow, I will see Eric at college after writing and I'm sure he wants me to meet his father as my biological father now."
Jakes said "Alright then, just call him first he might need you, you said it's urgent."
Laura said "he is not picking up his phone."
Jakes said "let's hope he didn't pass out."
Laura said" that's not funny."
Jakes said " I'm kidding, I'm sure he is fine this is Eric, I may not know him for that long but everyone knows, he is not scared of anything, " everything is God's plan and that God is teaching me something here" him and God are buddies so don't worry. "
Laura said "I will text him to call me, something is not right. "
Jakes said "worrying won't help, will wait for his call."
Eric's father and Eric were at the hospital.
Eric's Father said "did you tell Laura that her father is sick and in hospital?"
Eric said "I did message her to call me, where is my phone?"
Eric's Father said "don't tell me you left it at home, don't you know the digits by heart?"
Eric said "I don't, we can ask the nurse to check if Laura's father doesn't have a phone with him."
*Laura and jakes they were supposed to be studying. Where they?*
Laura said "are we studying while you're busy with your phone and who are you texting?"
Jakes said "my girlfriends."
Laura said "you can go study with them."
Jakes said "Relax, change of plans we are going out tonight and tomorrow will check on Eric stop worrying about him."
Laura said "Thanks babe, what will I wear and your girlfriends coming?"
Jakes said "casual, and learn to trust me you're the only one I love. "
Laura said "oh, it's not funny when I say it."
Jakes said "fine, I won't say dumb and unfunny things, let's not fight don't ruin our night."
Laura said "will let this pass, excited for our first night out."
Jakes said "first of many."
Laura said "confident man, I like that."
Jakes said "hope you will like the surprise. "
Things did not look good for Laura's father john black.
"We are losing him, doctor" says the nurse.
Eric's Father said "what's going on?"
The nurse said "please wait outside. "
Eric said "we should pray."
Eric's Father said "try to ask the other nurse's for help, Laura should be able to say her goodbyes."
Eric said "is he going to die?"
Eric's Father said "doesn't look good Son."
