"A call for you, young master." I heard the butler say as Lucas went out and closed the door.

After disappearing for about 10 minutes, Lucas came back, slamming the door behind him and sat down beside me.

He clutched his head in his hands, staying silent for quite awhile.

I only stared at him, equally without saying anything.

Who called him and what did they talk about, I wonder. Their conversation was not really long, but Lucas seemed pretty affected.

Unable to hold my curiosity, I asked. "Who called just now?"

He didn't immediately respond. "...Dad."

Hmm... So dad called. But, why do you look... blaming? Self-loathing?

"Did something happen?" I patted him on the back.

He then suddenly hugged me. "It's nothing..." He hugged me so tightly I couldn't breathe. But I didn't move or complain. I don't know. I just thought he needed it. This hug.

I hugged him back.

We stayed like that for a few minutes, neither moving away, neither speaking.
