Opportunity's Chosen Blessing was that of the War God Juro. Alongside this she obtained the special class War God's Avatar.
Her stats were most likely the highest in the game without a Berserk Skill. She even gained countless titles which boost her stats during battle. Meaning now she was even stronger.
Her axes carved through the players, instilling fear in their hearts. A brave, or foolish, player attacked Opportunity's back with a dagger.
She spun around, slamming the grip of her axe into the wrist of the attacker. This redirected the blow and caused the player to stumble slightly. She then took her other axe and cleaved into the player's jaw. The axe rested in their jaw and didn't move any further. Opportunity then twisted her body and lifted the player overhead, only to slam them onto the ground.
Some players sucked in a cold breath of air. She was brutal!
Akiol was casually slaughtering his way past as well. He wasn't even using any techniques since there was no need to. The players were confident in their numbers and continued to charge into battle.
As he ran to the main building he dispelled one of the scrolls, it was the supposed Molotov created by Kan'na. After pouring a small amount of mana the magic circle on the scroll began to glow a deep orange. Akiol then tossed it into the air, it rotated through the air and paused. The magic circle facing the ground. A fireball shot out of the circle and crashed into the ground, causing a large explosion of flames.
A player shouted, "Where are the water spells? Extinguish this!"
They were wary of the flames, they hadn't seen a scroll unleash a spell before. A player cast a water ball and sent it towards the flame. Upon making contact the flame didn't extinguish, instead it burned brighter.
Kan'na had accidentally created a flame which burnt the oxygen from water. Leaving only hydrogen in the air, this could leave some damage if constantly used. However it was most likely Kan'na wouldn't create something like this again, at least not unintentionally.
Akiol looked over to Opportunity, slightly surprised to see her easily take care of a small army of players as well. He had half expected it, considering she most likely climbed the Tower as well. Though her fighting style was strange, it was somewhat similar to his {Vital Point Targeting} style. However it was far more violent. If Akiol's fighting style was based off his experience and goal to defeat enemies as optimized as possible, then Opportunity's was to defeat enemies in the most brutal way possible.
This was due to her own Title: The One Which Even Armies Fear. The more feared she is in battle, the strongest its effects. So she tinkered her style to become far more brutal for this.
Akiol slid sideways to dodge an incoming attack, flicking his wrist he deflected another. A player wielding a claymore swung downwards towards him. Akiol used the flat side of Stars to block the blow. Before the momentum was completely erased Akiol slide the claymore to his side using his sword. He then slid his blade across the claymore's edge, then in one smooth motion he sliced the neck of the wielder.
It wasn't an optimized move, he had several different ways to deal with it. However he was being pestered by two certain individuals.
'Put on a show! You kill them too fast.' -Givale
'I agree, more cool moves please!' -Stars
Akiol was in no particular danger, so he found no harm in giving them a little show. Whilst doing so he suddenly found that this was a good way to practice his efficiency with Aura. So as he fought he would occasionally flicker different colors.
Akiol ran towards a Guardian who held up their shield to defend themselves. Akiol jumped forward and placed his legs on the shield. Using [Leap] he bounced horizontally into the fray of players. The Guardian's footing was terrible, so he was sent tumbling into a group of players.
Akiol commented, "Strike!"
Akiol sliced a few players before he landed, using {Adjourned Death} for extra style points of course. Akiol landed and around ten players fell at the same time.
"Hows that?"
'Not bad!' -Stats
'Seen it, something new please.' -Givale
Akiol pondered for a split second before responding, "Givale, you want to learn how to manipulate mana right? Then watch closely, this might give you a little insight."
Akiol began to glow orange, he believed he would need extra strength to fully utilized this move. The mana swirled around him, as if being absorbed into the sword. Some players hesitated to move forward, something felt off.
He concentrated, forming the mana to his will. His eyes narrowed and he swung horizontally. The sword was so fast the players couldn't even see a blur. Instead it looked like it teleported to his side. The players were confused, was something supposed to happen?
Suddenly thin lines appeared at their necks. Each one was exactly as wide as their neck. These lines faded, and the players dropped dead.
'What was that?! How did you do that?!' -Givale
"Were you watching?"
'Yes, but I couldn't understand at all!'
"You're not supposed to understand, it's only to provide insight. Perhaps you might learn something new."
Stars suddenly shouted, 'That was so cool!!'
Akiol winced, "Calm yourself, I don't know if I could go deaf with your voice in my head."
'You killed them all! Without even moving! They all just died! Like that!!'
"Yes, that was the point."
'What move is that one called?'
"It doesn't have a name, it's something I made a long while ago. Why would I bother naming it?"
'No no no! You must have a name, it is a must!'
"Then you come up with one. Make sure it is good at least."
'I can?!'
"Yeah."
Stars went silent, to Akiol's small relief. This might keep him occupied for at least a day. Stars might even have a good naming sense.
Opportunity walked over to him, for she had also dealt with her army, "Pretty impressive, let's go inside now. We have about five minutes before they respawn."
"They can respawn here?"
"Supposedly, that's why we must hurry. I also created an anti teleport barrier around the base, so our target cannot escape."
Akiol looked over to the base, "Why can I not see it?"
"Not meant to be seen."
Akiol pulled out eight scrolls after sheathing Stars, "Then you go inside, I shall plant the bomb."
"That works too."
Opportunity ran to the door and smashed it open, alerting the players within, "The intruders got past! Call for backup!"
Akiol began placing the scrolls around the base, after they stuck to the ground he covered them with a bit of dirt to prevent any players from spotting it. Soon enough seven scrolls were planted, Akiol held onto the last.
As he waited he noticed someone moving towards him in the distance. A player by the looks of their gear. The player suddenly jumped backwards, a green portal forming behind them. They disappeared into it.
The player reappeared behind Akiol, an oddly long dagger aiming to stab into his heart. Akiol moved and gripped the wrist of the attacker, he aimed to flip them over. Yet during this motion the player twisted midair and grabbed Akiol's head with their legs. They turned and forced the dagger towards him.
Akiol gripped the hands on the dagger to prevent it from moving forward. He then tackled the attacker to the ground. The two fought whilst tumbling, until Akiol manged to free himself.
The attacker retreated as well, "You're quite skilled. I can see why you are my target."
Akiol drew Stars, "Target? Aren't you only reinforcements?"
"Not quite."
The player jumped forward, swinging their dagger both skillfully and quickly. Akiol still blocked the attacks with minimum effort, yet he could tell that this player was no average Joe.
The two traded blows, none trying their hardest. This clash was merely testing the waters. Getting a feel for how their opponent moved and fought. The attacker twirled their dagger into reverse hand grip and slashed Akiol, hoping to throw them off with a different style. Yet Akiol merely adapted quickly, he even retaliated with his own style change.
A style he had used before, but merely like it was a skill: {Origami Style}. A style in which every swing holds several folds. A single swing may leave additional wounds in its path.
Akiol swung forward, the attack was easily blocked. Yet the attacker was surprised to see three wounds appearing on their arm.
{Origami Style: Four Folds}!
The player did not let this distract them for long, instead they opted to dodge Akiol's next attack. Akiol was pleased with their reaction, that was the one weakness of {Origami Style}, the additional attacks would only appear if his attacks landed. Still, the attacker could not dodge forever.
Dang~!
Five wounds appeared on their arm, they were forced to block an incoming attack. Yet it seemed like the outcome would be the same regardless! They jumped backwards repeatedly, "Who are you?"
"People have no manners this day and age. Shouldn't you introduce yourself first?"
"Special Agent of Withered Oaths: Tenebrous."
"Tenebrous? Funny name. If you're from Withered Oaths then you should know my name already. So why ask?"
"This was not in the data, I suspect you may be something, or someone, else."
"There's a lot of things that people don't know about me. Your data is clearly misleading."
"Then I shall fight accordingly."
