Kapitel 113: New Items

Akiol raised an eyebrow at the message.

-Yeah, why?- Akiol

-Perfect, I need your assistance with something. I mailed you a teleport scroll to my place. When you're available please come chat, the sooner the better.- Torch

-Then I'll head straight there, give me a few minutes.-

Akiol went to the postal office and checked his inbox. Sure enough there was a scroll inside. He picked it up and used it.

He was back inside the large room where he fought the mech. To his surprise the room was no longer empty. Several mechanical machines worked diligently doing whatever they were instructed.

Torch was next to a workbench, tinkering with a robot of some sort. Once they spotted Akiol they greeted, "Hello, glad you could make it."

Akiol replied, "Hi, I see you fixed your voice."

Torch's voice was no longer the cold robotic one, instead it held a bit of emotion in it. Torch laughed, "Yeah, I managed to make the voice modulator. Anyway I need your help."

"So you told me, what do you need assistance with?"

Torch tapped the robot on the workbench, "This thing, it's a construction robot. I have a handful working on some projects for me, but I wanted to test if they could be used for buildings. If so, I plan to sell them publicly for a large price. Since these things can boost construction by an astronomical amount. It works tirelessly and constantly. The only downside is that they aren't built to last due to my lack of materials."

Akiol asked, "Are you in need of funds?"

"Desperately, I need a vast amount of materials for my projects. While most are cheap, the costs stack up when buying it in large quantities. Of course I won't let you go unrewarded, if my test proves successful I will let you keep a few construction bots for your needs."

Akiol found no issues with the agreement, "Deal, I just need to bring them to my house right?"

"This one and another over there. It shows an interface for me, so hopefully it does the same for you."

"Alright, I'll let you know what happens."

The construction robot looked like a short ant, four legs for walking and two arm-like limbs for various uses. When Akiol picked up the robot he found he couldn't stick it in his inventory. So he just absorbed it. Torch watched this with interest, "What did you just do?"

Akiol picked up the second robot and demonstrated, "Part of being a slime, I can absorb and dispel non living items. It acts like an easier accessible inventory. Because I can just dispel it with a thought."

"Interesting. . . how did you become a slime anyway."

"Probably a bug to be honest, when I started the game I was like this. It didn't allow me to switch races."

Torched chuckled, "That's quite lucky, it seems like being a slime has many uses."

"We should compare our races sometime then."

Torch beckoned around them, "When I have some stuff built definitely. I want to test the class skills as well if you don't mind."

"Alright, I'll be testing these then."

"Thank you for that."

"No problem." Akiol used a teleport scroll back to Chalkworth. Once he arrived he immediately headed for his plot. Once he arrived he saw a team of NPCs working on the construction. Currently they were building the frame of the house. An Orc carrying a bunch of wood walked over, "Boss! You came to check on us? Everything is going just fine so you don't need to worry."

Akiol nodded, "I can see you guys are working very hard. I just wanted to see something."

Akiol dispelled one of the construction machines. As he held a notification appeared.

<Additional Workforce identified.>

<Add (Constructo Bot) to building team?>

<Adding (Constructo Bot) will speed the building process by 10%.>

Akiol accepted and the robot immediately got to work, he did this for the second robot as well. The Orc eyed the robots warily, "We can do this just fine Boss."

"Don't worry, you guys are still needed and getting paid. I just wanted to experiment with these. It should help a little." Akiol comforted.

The Orc sighed with relief, "Ok Boss, I shall get back to work."

As the Orc returned to work Akiol murmured, "It seems like the NPCs aren't guaranteed to have jobs. This could mean that players could destroy a city's economy. Leaving thousands jobless."

He didn't like the thought. He especially wouldn't like it if it happened to his city, where his house was.

However he put the thought to the side. He had to report to Torch first.

-Good news, it boosts construction speed by 10% for each robot. The NPCs seem a bit wary, but it works.- Akiol

-Fantastic, you can keep those two for your house. I am going to mass produce a few of these and begin selling them.- Torch

-I could help advertise it if you want.- Akiol

-How?- Torch

-I'll post a screenshot of the system prompt. Since most the players are frantic over plots any info would surely become popular. Just let me know when you're ready for an influx of business players.- Akiol

-I can handle that myself, though could you send me the screenshot? I appreciate it nonetheless.- Torch

-That works too, here. [Attached Image]- Akiol

-Beautiful, thank you again. I'll contact you when I'm ready for that duel.- Torch

-Don't become a billionaire overnight and forget haha.- Akiol

-I won't.- Torch

Now that everything Akiol wanted and had to take care of was done. He wasn't sure what he should do next. So he opened the group chat to see what was going on.

Kan'na: I'm telling you it's not a waste.

Tilia: Nonsense, the price for the materials isn't something that we can afford right now.

Kan'na: I know that, I didn't say I wanted to do that right now. It was just something I wanted to attempt.

Tilia: I still think with the costs aren't worth it.

Kan'na: Aren't you becoming rich by providing Appraisal services?

Tilia: Ugh, no. Everyone and their mother thought it would be a get rich quick scheme. I am just a drop in the bucket.

Akiol: The bucket could be full of liquid gold however. Did you get any customers?

Tilia: Like two, one I couldn't even appraise because my Occupation level isn't high enough.

Akiol: Perhaps it is lead then. . . Anyway the house is being built. Should be done within 24-48 hours.

Yielya: That's quite quick.

Akiol: I thought so too. However this is a fantasy game, so perhaps the workers have some extra skills that let them work faster.

Yielya: Eh, maybe.

Akiol: Tilia, could you attempt to appraise some things for me?

Tilia: Sure, come over to these coordinate.

It only took a few minutes for Akiol to walk to the coordinates. Tilia was at a stall advertising basic appraisal, along with hundreds of others.

Akiol walked over. Tilia spotted him and asked, "What is it that you need appraised?"

Akiol handed over the Skill Stone and the Crimson sword. Tilia grabbed the sword and inspected them. After a minute she sighed and put it down, "I can't appraise Skill Stones just yet. The sword is also out of my league. It would be best if you take these to the official appraisal shop. It might cost a bit but at least you would know."

Akiol picked his items up, "Then I shall, good luck by the way."

Tilia sighed and halfheartedly responded, "Thanks. Business is booming after all."

Akiol walked over to the Appraisal shop, the line wasn't long. Most likely due to the lack of new equipment right away. After all it had only been a few hours since the update released. It would be quite shocking if a large amount of players suddenly received new equipment so fast.

Akiol entered and spoke to a receptionist, "I would like to have a some items appraised."

The receptionist responded politely, "Of course, may I know how many?"

"Just two."

"Alright, please hand the items over and they shall be returned shortly."

Akiol handed them over and took a seat. He wasn't sure how long it would take.

Surprisingly only five minutes. The receptionist came back out with the items, "Here you are."

Akiol accepted the items and thanked the receptionist. Without waiting he immediately inspected the items.

[Changing Crimson (Incredible)]

A weapon made of a strange metal, it's capable of changing its size to the user's wishes.

Attack:

300

Requirements:

All stats = 150

When Equipped Receive:

+30 to all stats

Extra Skills:

{Changing Blade: Allows the blade to extend, shorten, widen, and narrow.}

The sword was better than his stat wise. However Everbright Snow had superior extra skills. Akiol didn't prefer to use two weapons, it was unnecessary to keep track of two, however he couldn't decide which he preferred more.

For now he chose Changing Crimson, if he required the skills of Everbright Snow then he would change accordingly. Next was the Skill Stone. It's name was [Disarming Strike], Akiol had seen Vindir use the skills. So he crushed the stone, acquiring the skill.

[Disarming Strike:

A swift strike can disarm any opponent. Giving the user an edge in battle.

Cost:

100MP

Effects:

If striking the enemy's arm (holding the weapon) chance to disarm opponent. The closer the strike it to the hand the greater the chance of disarming.]

Akiol approved of the skill, it indeed could give him an edge in battle. So he decided to spend some time getting used to his new items. Familiarizing himself with the sword, his new skills, and the sub-weapon was necessary to prevent mistakes.

So he decided to take on a solo dungeon.
