Wham!
The tree golem was demolished in seconds, the beast let out a roar to celebrate its victory.
Snapping its head towards Yielya it charged, a fist aimed at her. Akiol appeared in front, his sword gleamed and clashed with the beast's fist.
The beast's fist recoiled sharply. Akiol used the skill with Everbright Snow, [Reflective Metal]. It was surprisingly effective.
Kan'na followed up with several magic circles. She had been creating these while the tree golem held the beast back, for when it could no longer last.
Ice shot up its feet, lightning chains wrapped around its body. A bright yellow cage descended around the beast. Finally a magic circle stayed above the contraptions, producing a constant strong flow of air.
Jarvis recovered the remaining living part of the tree golem. It would grow back, but he still felt a pain seeing it lose so much. For now he retreated, he did what he could.
Yielya was constantly curing the beast. It's health continued to drop. Around the five percent mark it freed itself from the lightning chains, with one binding gone the rest would follow.
The ice shattered, leaving its feet free. With its hands it broke the cage into pieces.
Dong~
A large transparent shield dropped from the sky, its size larger than the beast itself. Tilia could be seen in the back, blood dripping from her head.
This was the ultimate skill of the Defenders, [Heavenly Guard]!
[Heavenly Guard] was an incredibly powerful defense skill, its downsides lay in its large casting and cooldown time. So Tilia did not have the chance to use it the first time.
Yielya increased the rate of her skills, even using an MP potion to utilize some skill that didn't use Prayer.
The beast, lacking intelligence, started smashing into the shield. It wasn't long before cracks began to form on the surface.
The shield shattered, and the beast finally reached Yielya. No one could stop it now, all their skills are now on cooldown.
The beast smashed downwards towards Yielya, everyone began to cringe at the sight they may see.
The beast stopped short, Yielya stood underneath it. Her staff touching the beast's fists. She had used a curing spell, and finished off the rest of its health.
The beast shuddered, and then exploded. The dark liquid splattered everywhere.
<You have defeated a land Guardian!>
<You have defeated the Guardian of the Plains of Plague (Existence of Disease)!>
<Being the first party to defeat a land guardian you are granted the right to announce it! Accept?>
Everyone, who was covered in the strange liquid, got the same announcements. Akiol raised his eyebrow, the rest understood.
Akiol accepted, let the world know of the achievement! Why not! Yet he was stopped short by a single notification.
<Please enter the name of your party...>
Akiol coughed, "We need a name."
Yielya casted a clean spell on herself, "Hmm, why not have it the name we were called before?"
Akiol morphed his body rapidly making the liquid shake off, "What, The Heroes? That seems a little arrogant?"
Wrock moved quickly causing the liquid to fall off, "Then what about something similar?"
Kan'na used a magic circle to remove the liquid, "How about Six Lights? I am sure we were the so called 'light in the darkness' for some people."
Yielya used a cleaning spell on the other two, everyone didn't have an issue with the name. It sounded pretty good.
Akiol wrote Six Lights as the name and a notification rang across the entirety of A World's Legacy.
<Party Six Lights are the first to ever defeat a Land Guardian! Their names shall be forever written in history.

Akiol stretched and deactivated [Aura Boost]. Now it was time to collect the loot. Everyone walked up to the small piece of the beast left. Akiol touched it and notifications appeared.
<You killed: Existence of Disease. Obtained: +200% EXP, +50000 Gold, Gauntlets of Disease, Skill Stone (Intensive Studies), Diseased Flesh.>
Akiol read the information on the items.

Akiol tossed these to Wrock, it fit only him after all. Next was the Skill Stone, since there isn't any description for Skill Stones he couldn't tell what the skill did. So he tossed it to Yielya, it was because of her that they won.
Diseased Flesh was a material item, so it was stored in his inventory.
Yielya crushed the Skill Stone and read the description. After that she sighed, "This is pretty useful, if I remain undisturbed for a minute I can reveal the level and stats of a monster."
"Why did you sigh then?" Jarvis asked.
"Because I finally have something I can do in dungeons!"

Reverence was overseeing the training of his talented players when he received the notification.
Reading it he cracked a smile, "It seems like there is more than just you, I expect to see one of these individuals with you next week."
With that he ordered the talents to get back to training.

Desk Guy stretched, he had been hard at work getting the new update ready. He felt stiff and decided to stretch his legs.
As he got up a coworker beckoned him over. When he got close the coworker excitedly explained, "A land guardian was defeated!"
He raised his eyebrow, that was a pretty impressive feat. Once he read the info he frowned, he had missed an event!
He quickly returned to his computer, clicking open a few programs and let them run.
While the entirety of A World's Legacy could not be recorded, the major bosses are. In case of a balancing issue or cheaters.
He pulled up the recording of the land guardian and began to watch.

Akiol had logged off, he felt like it was time to take care of his body. He had promoted his body tempering techniques up a level and his body felt much stronger.
On top of that Akiol had been studying videos on cooking, he understood how to make sure meat was thoroughly cooked but that was it. His cooking skills have improved, now being able to utilize various cooking techniques instead of standard grilling.
He had purchased a steak on sale the other day and intended to eat it today. Turning on the stove he let the pan heat up with a small bit of vegetable oil.
As that heated up he began to rub some seasoning onto the steak. Once that step was complete he added a good amount of butter to the pan letting it melt.
Once it was fully melted he added the steak, constantly basking it with the melted butter. He flipped it after a few minutes and continued to bask. Whilst basking the steak he added a few herbs to add a touch of flavor.
Once he felt the steak was ready he increased the heat to scorch the outsides a bit. Akiol preferred a little crisp to the outsides of his steak.
Taking it off the heat he set it in a plate and let it sit for a bit. Using the remaining butter and juices in the pan he fried up some vegetables. Since these were fresh it didn't take long for them to cook. Adding it to the plate he turned off the stove and set the pan aside.
Akiol enjoyed his meal, he always enjoyed the food. Everyone once and a while he went out and tried something new at some food place.
The food never disappointed him, he felt like he would never hate the food if this world.
Akiol finished his meal and cleaned up. After readying himself for bed he began to go to sleep.
For the next week he would be preparing with Wrock for the guild competition. There was shiny new equipment to gain, levels to earn.
With that he fell asleep.

Desk Guy inhaled sharply, he hadn't expected the Existence of Disease to evolve so quickly. Even more so the fact that the group managed to fight the thing.
Land Guardians are exactly what their name stands for. Guardians of a specific Land. Each Guardian had a unique way to awaken it. For the Plains of Plague it would roam as a mist. The more players or monsters that died by its hand the stronger it became, until it evolved completely.
Defeating a Land Guardian gave generous loot in EXP and Gold, but it didn't give much in else. Rather it would give a small hidden quest to the players that defeated it. This quest wouldn't be seen at all, so it was more like an Easter egg.
If a player took part in the elimination of five Land Guardians they would gain the title of Land Conquerer and given the quest to summon a World Guardian.
The World Guardian? Well it also was true to its name.
