When the time arrived where Markus could ascend the throne, her brother had jumped to grab Calhoun, keeping the boy at his side so that the throne would not slip away from his fingers. When Calhoun was presented in front of everyone, it was like a slap to not just her but also her mother's face. 

As eager as Laurence was to have Calhoun as his wife could not bear a male child, Morganna was upset because she didn't want the whore's son to sit on the throne of Devon. 

"Why do you even want to know about Constance or our family?" questioned Rosamund. 

"Because I am the girl's father whom you tried to kill by presenting her the cursed chain. I am the Devil you should fear for your life and the sins you have committed against her and my grandson. Vladimir Lazarus, the ruler of Hell in the literal sense," stated Vladimir, and his red eyes suddenly looked like fire was burning behind it.
