"You're an idiot, Lorelei."

Tatianna shook her head, letting out another scoff.

"This will hurt me more. If you would have told me that it is Aiden who has your heart, I would have declined the marriage despite the policy so I wouldn't hurt you."

With that, tears uncontrollably escaped from Lorelei's eyes.

She shook her head as she approached her best friend, attempting to hold her hand. But alas, Tatianna was too angry, not caring about their bond and quickly pulled her hand away, their skins grazing against each other.

"Don't you dare touch me! You're a stranger to me now!"

"Tatianna!"

Lorelei fell on her knees, begging before the queen as she spoke, also stammering on her words.

"I'm sorry! I-I'm sorry that this really happened! I-I couldn't help it, I love Aiden! I wanted to tell you, but—"

"But you never told me anything, Lorelei!"

Tatianna interrupted, looking at Aiden with condescending eyes.
