It was busy in the tavern, and even though there were other demons present around them, they were oblivious to listen to Ava and Dharvey's conversation as most of them were focused on drinking and eating.
Jyojiko continued to tend to the customers as Dharvey and Ava ate and drank, continuing their conversation.
"I'm sorry, Ava," Dharvey trailed off, getting her attention. "But I thought your allegiance lies with the demons. I was scared for a moment a while ago," she admitted, Ava, giving her a small smile.
"It's alright. I have to play the part so I could still stay by their side, you know?"
She then heaved a sigh, propping a hand under her chin as Dharvey continued to eat the onion rings served for them.
"I was really scared when the king asked for my hand," Dharvey said in between chews, "But what got me curious was why he didn't see other parts of my memories," she added, Ava, answering her question.
