Kapitel 249: Don't You Love Me?

"If I was... would that make a difference between you and me?"

Ava blinked her eyes a few times, unsure of what to say.

How could this man say something like this when he cheated on her with her best friend?

She now had nothing but anger towards him and even though she knew how much she loved him, somehow, she was starting to get by. 

With him saying this now... could this be true?

Is this karma's work of making him realize what he had lost?

"No," Ava flatly answered, Shadow unmoving as the demoness' eyes pierced through him. "You and I could never be together again and you know that. You betrayed me with my best friend and you made me kill her. How could I forgive myself--and how could I forgive you for letting me act this way?"

Shadow felt a pang of pain in his heart. No matter what he does, no matter what he says, there is always anger in Ava's words.
