Kapitel 132: Screams

I let out a sigh before collapsing forward and laying down in my own blood. I take several breaths and cringe when I feel my own blood filling my lungs. I calm my thoughts and focus on healing myself as Iris continues to scream.

I try to block it out but it's almost impossible. The way it sounds... it... it brings back unpleasant memories. As I struggle to heal myself, snips of my memory start flashing through my mind. Valen and I playing on a dirt trail as my mother and father pack our things back up. 

We had stopped for a quick lunch and were about to start traveling again... Valen pushes me and says "Tag! You're it!" before turning around and running off. I giggle and chase after him, enjoying the way the butterflies were fluttering all around us and the surrounding wildflowers.
