Kapitel 74: Pride and Ego
Back in City A.
Jacob was currently sitting on the balcony, drinking alcohol while he stared at the picture on his phone screen.
'This is too beautiful to be kept hidden.'
He stared at the photo for a good few minutes. His eyes darkened as anger and envy suddenly filled his heart.
"What? Too beautiful to be kept hidden?" Jacob chuckled. He stood up and threw the glass on his hands angrily on the floor.
"You think the two of you can be happy while I'm being miserable!?" Jacob grabbed his phone and stared at the picture once again, "She's mine! And only mine!" he spoke in gritted teeth.
Few days ago, Jacob ordered someone to kidnap Luke Daniels, his former secretary, but the person he paid was the one beaten up in the end.
Who knew that Luke Daniels had guards around him?
Because of that, Jacob's suspicion on Alexander grew more. He was 90% sure that he was the one who helped Luke and because of that, his hatred for him rose 10 notches up.
First he embarrassed him in front of Sabrina.
Then he helped Luke kick him out of his position and family.
And now he was stealing his woman.
Being the prideful and egoistic man he was, Jacob cannot accept that he was defeated by Alexander. He can never move on without getting even with him.
A battle between two men, it will surely be bloody.
While Sabrina and Alexander were busy preparing to go out. Kenzie and Grey were currently in a frenzy downstairs due to some explosive news released in City A.
"Do we tell them now?" Kenzie asked Grey worriedly.
"We should or else people will misunderstand Miss Sabrina," answered Grey.
"But they're on their way to a date," Kenzie said, "I don't want to ruin their mood," she added.
"I'll be the one to talk to Mr. Grande," Grey said. He grabbed his tablet and rushed upstairs immediately.
Kenzie, left alone in the living room, walked back and forth while biting her nails.
"Could it be her?" she whispered to herself. Just when everything was perfect for Sabrina, some maniac suddenly popped, trying to ruin her. What kind of gimmick was this?
Arriving at Alexander's doorstep, Grey lifted his hand and knocked.
"Come in," he heard Alexander shout from inside.
Grey opened the door and entered, "Sir I need to report something," he said as soon as he entered.
"Can it wait?" Alexander asked while he blow dried his hair.
"I'm afraid that it cannot Sir," Grey responded.
Alexander immediately placed his blow dryer down, "What is it?" he asked.
Grey opened his tablet and clicked a few things before he walked towards Alexander, "This happened just an hour ago Sir," he said.
Alexander grabbed the tablet and looked at what was on it. His grip on the tablet immediately tightened as soon as he read what was displayed on it.
'STAR CLIMBER! Sabrina Pierce climbed her way to HOLLYWOOD!'
'THE WHO? Famous Asian actress being intimate with a famous director!'
'TRENDING NOW! Alexander Grande's fiancée, Sabrina Pierce is a professional bed climber!'
'CONFIRMED! Sabrina Pierce used her body to reach Hollywood!'
'IS IT TRUE? Sabrina Pierce accused of bed climbing!'
"Call Cosche's PR team, ask them to suppress this issue until we come up with a plan," Alexander said. He stood up and grabbed his phone immediately. He scrolled through his contacts and pressed on a certain number.
"CEO Grande! Long-time no talk!" the man on the other line greeted.
"Kris, I need you to do something for me," said Alexander.
"Sure! Anything for you boss!" Kris responded.
"I need you to hack into the CCTV footage of Crest Entertainment. Get me the footage of a certain date," Alexander instructed.
"Easy as cake boss! I'll send them to you within 20 minutes!" answered Kris.
Alexander ended the call immediately and turned to Grey, "Tell Kenzie not to tell Sabrina any of this first. I'll tell her myself later," he said. He didn't want to ruin Sabrina's mood.
"I understand Sir," Grey said. He turned around and left Alexander's room immediately.
Left alone, Alexander continued to prepare himself. He already had a suspect in mind.
If this was the game she wanted to play, then he was going to play along with her.
He will make sure that he's going to destroy her.
"Ready?" Alexander asked Sabrina who just got out of her room.
"Mhmm," Sabrina nodded with a smile. Alexander offered his hand to Sabrina which she accepted immediately.
"Where are we going?" Sabrina asked Alexander excitedly.
"I actually don't know," Alexander answered her, "Where do you want to go?" he asked her.
Sabrina rubbed her chin, "Hmm… Movie?" she suggested.
"Okay, movie it is then," Alexander smiled, "Wait for me here, I'll get the car," he said and Sabrina nodded.
She's about to go back to shooting tomorrow, Sabrina wanted to spend some quality time with Alexander before she becomes busy.
"Hop in," Alexander said as he opened the door of his Bugatti Veyron to Sabrina.
"Thank you," Sabrina said as she entered the car. Alexander closed the door for her and walked around to board the car.
"Can I borrow your phone?" Alexander asked Sabrina.
"Sure," Sabrina answered while she buckled her seatbelt, "It's on my pouch," she said.
Alexander immediately reached out for her pouch and grabbed her phone. He turned it off and returned it inside, "No cell phones today. Just the two of us okay?" he said.
"No problem boss!" Sabrina saluted and smiled at Alexander.
Alexander patted her head and started his engine.
This day was for sure going to be fun!
