The rest of the day was spent on a tour around town with Sarah. Along the way, not knowing when Sam Goode had also joined the trio in their exploration of the town.
Alice was surprised at Sam's smooth integration into the group since she had failed to notice his presence prior to him joining them.
Zeel knew exactly what was happening, but for some reason, he did not have the necessary knowledge to put it into words.
Every time Zeel got a vague impression on something, that he could not vividly recall, he knew the forbidden cube was likely the reason why.
"Here's your schedule. Homeroom is calculus..."
"That's B-wing, room seven..."
"Job fair starts tomorrow…"
"There is the theatre, small but fun…"
"Here is… there is... and here is…"
"And finally here are the outskirts, down that way if you travel far enough you'll meet our famous waterfall.
There have been three suicides there so far. Wouldn't advise you guys to go there, nobody goes there," Sarah concluded her tour with a big sigh and a serious warning.
"Awesome, time to head home," Zeel said as he hadn't heard a thing Sarah said for the entire tour.
He was currently sifting through his memories for potential projects he could implement in this world.
"Uhm, I'll catch up. I'll make sure Sarah gets home safely first," John said with a bit of stutter to which Zeel nodded and Alice replied "Take as much time as you need" with a wink.
Sam as the awkward one in the group just slipped away without anyone noticing.
After Alice and Zeel arrived home, they had some discussions with Henri and Lexa about progress on the raids.
"Pretty good, more people have been attacking the bases, though not with any substantial damage," Lexa replied as she pulled up the holograms and other stats concerning the hired mercenaries.
"Will this even work?" questioned Henri feeling a bit doubtful that humans could take on Mogadorians.
"Of course not, it was never meant to work, think of it as more of an annoyance type thing. Those bases are just surface projects of the Magadorians.
Their secure bases have yet to be discovered, a lot of firewalls in place. It's not hard to crack but that's only because it's a totally different language, once The Red Queen learns and adapts we'll know their locations," Alice replied in Zeel's place.
Zeel still decided to comment "You underestimate humans too much, think yourselves above them. The thing I fear most in this world is neither gods, nor demons, but smart humans,"
"Anyways, how comes the AI does not talk?" Alice inquired curiously about the so-called 'Red Queen'.
The room sank into silence as everyone also wondered about the mysterious AI.
"Because she can't talk, at the very least not any language is known to man. This AI was born of the nanites and hence only can talk the language of my planets," Zeel replied casually since this 'Red Queen' was indeed born of his nanites coding.
His nanites functioned differently from what Zeel knew from his own Universe.
Usually, most technology from one Universe cannot be brought to another, or even if it was, a long process of calibration would be required.
A process in which even Zeel, with his legendary intellect, would find too complicated to perform.
Or course, certain objects or artifacts were exempted from this rule of Multiversal Travel.
Twenty minutes later, John came into the room slightly chuckling to himself.
That was obviously the face of a boy who had fallen hopelessly in love with someone and began to fantasize about the future in his delusional mind.
"I know that look, just remember not to fall too deep. We're not from around here after all," Henri said after noticing the adolescent infatuation radiating off John, sadly Loriens also had puberty.
"Now enough of that! I'll be doing your training since Zeel can't hold back for the life of him.
Even if you don't have your legacies as yet, when you do get them you'll probably develop telekinesis like me so I can guide you then too," Alice said and took John to the training room; mostly intending to blow off some steam since every time she fought against Zeel, she would no doubt lose.
After three days of skipping school to train John, Alice was about to teach him about legacies and what he should do when they awoke, but John was zoning out most of the lesson as he still couldn't get Sarah off his mind.
"So the final lesson, abilities are usually limited to your physical prowess. This means if you have a peak body, you have the potential to have a peak ability as well.
However, the main factor about abilities is the ideas ingrained deep in your subconscious. So starting from now, meditation along with CQC is necessary.
Tomorrow we'll head back to school. I know you're missing that Susan chick," Alice teased John with a knowing smirk playing the corners of her mouth.
Zeel felt the need to correct her about Sarah's name but decided not to pay it much attention.
Obviously, Alice could remember the name since the nanites stored whatever their senses could pick up.
The next day Alice, Zeel, and John walked into school with Sam trailing behind them.
Alice and Zeel had noticed his increased interest in them but since he was a friend of John, they decided to ignore it.
Zeel and Alice were now in the same class as John and Sarah; by their own design of course. They couldn't let the young John out of their sights since he was prone to die without their supervision.
Zeel swore if any other number would be as careless as John, then he would kill them himself to save them the suffering of the Mogadorians.
After classes were finished, the duo noticed Sarah and John getting increasingly intimate over the period of the past two weeks.
John walked Sarah to her locker and then went to his own locker, only to be greeted by Mark James.
"What's up, man? You new?" asked Mark in an intimidating manner.
"Oh, I'm sorry Mark James. This is Kevin, Jackson, Tyler, and Max," Mark said as he introduced himself and the guys around him.
Each looking manlier than the other.
"John. And no, I've always been here, I tend to blend into the background," John replied unsure of what is happening, but when he looked over to the furrowed brows of Zeel, he could tell whatever it was had to end soon before either Zeel or Alice got involved.
"Listen. You need anything, you ask us, OK? We got you," Mark said as he patted John's chest.
"Why would he need a wannabe hotshot looking after him?" Zeel, who drew closer to their conversation, asked from the side.
Mark gave Zeel a vicious stare and left, not bothering to reply, or rather too scared to as he knew Zeel's background was anything but simple.
"Coward!" Alice said as she stood beside Zeel, she was also irritated by the impudence of these lower beings.
Though she quickly shook her head to rid of such thoughts.
Recently, she had noticed that she was considering herself no longer human, but something beyond human.
Zeel had this attitude since the beginning but she was just experiencing it for herself, it was almost an instinctual superiority.
Here is another chapter for the day.
So I was wondering if my novel is that good?
I have loyal readers who vote for me over and over again.
But I don't have new readers who comment or really read my novel.
What do you think is my novel's weakness? Is it not amazing enough, or maybe I have not touched upon a popular universe as yet, such as twilight?
Or maybe the name? Resident Evil probably makes other think it will stay in Resident Evil, or maybe I did not stay there long enough?
