Kapitel 98: Two Great Toads

For the next month, Araki started teaching Kushina about how to sense Nature Chakra from the surrounding within the Shikkotsu Forest.

Well, in this month, the two understood that it was pretty much impossible for Araki to teach Kushina. Firstly, Kushina couldn't even sit quietly for some time. She would definitely move, no matter how minute the movement was.

Araki's eyebrows were twitching madly, not at all, understanding just how he could help out Kushina in learning Sage Mode. Even though he had been trying to teach her for the whole month, she couldn't feel the nature chakra at all.

At that moment, Katsuyu approached Araki, "Araki-sama, as I said before, you should let her train at Mount Myoboku. Not only is the nature chakra more condensed at that location, but the toads have a special oil which makes it easier for the person to sense Nature Chakra."

Araki groaned in irritation, "It's a little irritating that I would have to ask for help from someone else. I can't believe I can't even teach Sage Mode to my wife. I feel so useless right now."

"Please do not fret, Araki-sama. You are a rare talent… No, considering your skill, calling you a monstrous talent would be more appropriate. Among humans, you are perhaps the most attuned to nature chakra. But… teaching someone is different. After all, Kushina-sama isn't as talented as you in terms of sensing nature chakra… I believe you should ask for help from the toads." Katsuyu was quite polite while explaining her reasoning.

Araki let out a sigh, "I guess I need to rely on the toads for this."

With that, Araki and Kushina returned to the Senju Clan manor. Kushina was a little disappointed that she didn't manage to learn the Sage Mode.

But Araki reassured her that it wasn't a big deal. Well, he told her this wasn't the end… It was simply the beginning.

He asked for Minato's presence in the training ground.

Minato arrived, a little confused but with a happy smile on his face.

His research of Flying Raijin Jutsu was going quite well. He felt that just a year or so and he would be able to apply this Flying Raijin Jutsu in real life. Quite a lot of credit went to Isao who was helping him out in making the seal.

Araki instructed Minato with an impassive look, "I will be giving you some of my Chakra, so summon the top-ranked toad you can summon."

"Top-ranked toad?" Minato didn't really know much about the top-ranked toads. The most he had summoned was Gamabunta.

But considering Araki was ordering him, he didn't mind it that much.

Araki touched Minato's back and injected his chakra. Minato's eyes widened with shock when he felt a tremendous yet dense chakra within his body. He felt as if his body would tear apart into pieces.

He immediately went through the hand seals and said, "Summoning Jutsu!"

A huge dust cloud was raised in the training ground.

As the dust cloud started to disperse, there appeared 3 Giant Toads with two small toads standing on top of a Red Coloured Toad.

"Jiraiya, why have you summoned me?" This was none other than Gamabunta. The current chief of the Toad Clan. He didn't realise that his brothers had been summoned along as well.

At that moment, the small green toad on his back stared at Minato and Araki, "We weren't summoned by Jiraiya-chan. It looks like we were summoned by Minato-chan. I am surprised though, I didn't think he would be able to summon me, Shima, and the three of your siblings. It should have been hard enough to summon you, Gamabunta."

This small toad was Fukasaku, one of the two great toads in the Toad Clan. The other toad was Shima, and she looked quite angry as she shouted at Minato and Araki, "Hey you! Why did you summon me?! I was making food! Who do you think will make lunch now that you summoned me here?!"

Minato cowered at her words and really wanted to hide behind Araki. Meanwhile, Araki looked amused, and he said to her, "My greetings to the toad clan. I am Senju Araki. I wonder which one among you is Fukasaku and Shima?"

"I am Fukasaku."

"And I am Shima."

The two toads introduced themselves.

"It was because of my chakra that Minato was able to summon you." Araki casually said… But Fukasaku smiled at those words, he didn't mind it that much.

Well, the same couldn't be said for Shima though. Before she could rage out at Araki, Fukasaku raised his arm and signalled for Shima to restrain herself.

"What did you want from us, Araki-chan? Do you want to sign the Toad Contract?" Fukasaku asked Araki with a curious tone.

To this, Araki shook his head and replied, "I wanted to request for your assistance to teach Sage Mode to my wife."

"Sage Mode?" Fukasaku spoke, a little surprised. He continued to stare at Araki and asked him, "Don't you want to learn the Sage Mode as well?"

Araki shrugged in response before replying, "I already know Sage Mode." As if to demonstrate, he entered the Sage Mode quite effortlessly.

All the toads, including Fukasaku and Shima, were shocked upon seeing him enter Sage Mode so quickly. Moreover, they could feel that he wasn't attuned to any animal, it seemed attuned to nature itself. This was the first time they had sensed such an anomaly.

Fukasaku thought for some time before saying, "Alright, I can agree to that condition, but I will be teaching Sage Mode to Minato-chan as well."

"Suit yourself. I will be living in the Mount Myoboku though. That is fine, right?" Araki asked them, a little unsure of their decision.

Fukasaku nodded his head and responded almost immediately, "Naturally, since you have mastered Sage mode. You naturally possess the qualifications to reside in the Mount Myoboku."

Araki was surprised at this rule and asked, "Really? I didn't think there was such a rule that those who perfect Sage Mode can come to Mount Myoboku."

"Well, as long as you aren't in contract with another summoned beast, you are naturally qualified to come to the Mount Myoboku," Fukasaku said, quite casually.

Gamabunta and Shima remained silent while listening to Fukasaku. They were well aware that he was just spouting bullshit. This was a rule he had created on the spot. There has hardly been any human who had mastered Sage Mode without help from a Summoned Beast.

Araki was a bit delighted, and he said, "Alright then, I agree. We will depart tomorrow."

He informed Kushina of this decision, and she was a little excited about this. At least she wouldn't have to split up from Araki. This was good news for her.

With that, Minato and Kushina's Senjutsu training started.
