Kapitel 511: Chapter 511: The bloody limb

"Here we are," Caliban said, pointing to an enormous arch.

Luna stepped back, her eyes widening at the sight of the portal. It was more than what she had expected it to be. In all of her lifetime, she hadn't seen a portal so unstable, its masking veil almost thinning into nothing as it reached the forest undergrowth. 

Large spiraling fumes of darkness rose from the magical entryway, lashing out at the ancient Red Oaks, leaving charred gaping wounds in their trunks. The shrubs around the place had withered in a neat circle as if intentionally burned for some weird ritual. 

Even for the human eye, the sight would instill a sense of caution, let alone for those who could see the dark energy surrounding the place. 

"So you can sense it too." The lord observed, stepping close to her. 

"Yes," Luna said, her eyes wandering in a show of blindness. "I can sense the thick air of darkness. What is this place?" She asked, lying through her teeth.
