Inside the large dining hall of the palace was a lavish scene of the king's party. Several members of the nobility and high ranking commanders sat around the long table accompanied by their wives or sometimes mistresses, talking and laughing loudly against the strum of the lyre, drunk with the best wine of the year. 

Luna watched the proceedings with interest. Her attention alternated between the royalty and the alpha. The king was smiling from ear to ear, his lustful gaze steady on the scantily clad bust women on his lap, fondling him publicly. Alicia, probably embarrassed by her father's actions had her eyes fixed on her untouched plate, sneaking glances at Liam ever so often.
