Irina sighed, reaching out to take her hand in hers. Elize looked up, shaken from her thoughts. The witch's eyes were full of warmth, which made her feel slightly guilty. Maybe she had said too much, she thought regretfully.
Squeezing her hand reassuringly, Irina said, "Though I don't know what your role as the Chosen One entails, I know this much that it's not to be a sacrificial offering. If you don't believe me, then ask Aileen."
"No. I don't want to talk to her." Elize murmured with a frown. "She's on their side."
Irina chuckled, shaking her head. "I don't know where you got that impression Elize. If only you know how much she gave up for you.." She trailed off with a soft smile on her lips.
