Kapitel 124: Holidays

Alex thought it was a bad idea too but there was no dissuading Claire once she had an idea in her head. She wanted to help the other Numbers and shut down the Agency by utilizing others even though it was a gamble. 

It rankled a bit that she cared so much what happened to the others until he reminded himself that she previously said she only cared about them because they were in a similar situation to him. He was the one she truly cared about. Still, it annoyed him. 

"Thank you for your input, Ray," he said flatly. 

The older man held up his hands defensively. "Hey, I call it like I see it. I guess I'll check in with you if I don't hear from you every few days. Can I at least have the security code so I can get the cat if necessary?"

Claire nodded and told it to him. "We appreciate your vote of confidence."
