"Then what was your order?" Liam asked Rein.

Rein's face was grim.

"They might be innocent from the Head Chief's scheme. But if we let them live, they would regroup with the surviving army and would become a threat to us soon. We need to cut our enemy's number no matter what."

Liam understood what he meant.

She ordered the team to attack the gathering army and killed as much as they could.

As Liam watched the enemies' sacrifice get massacred by their ally, she thought of that knowledgeable old man. 

That old man was so cruel to send his forty thousand innocent armies to their deaths.

Was it really worth it?

However, Liam would find the answer to that soon.
