"Hah..." I sank into the soft and comfy couch, exhausted.
We were currently in our team's designated waiting room. After I knocked Ming Hao unconscious with my Earth Element attack, our victory was announced and he was sent directly to the school infirmary. Since the outdoor Arena wasn't that far from the school campus, I assume the trip didn't take long. He should be waking up soon.
That being said, what I did back there was a risky move. I had to win while hiding my true strength as much as possible, but Ming Hao forced me to show one of my secrets - being able to cast magic without chanting.

Cyclxne Heya guys! Cyclxne here.
Since I just wrote a fight scene, I decided to take a short break with this chapter. No fighting, nice and peaceful...not. Who said battles could only be fought with violence? Animosity was everywhere; and the patriarchs of the Four Great Families were no exception.
The stuff about the patriarchs, like their conversations and thoughts, are all written in third-person, by the way. What this means is that Xuan Kai does not know what they are speaking of, or what they are thinking. This is important since Xuan Yang, Xuan Kai's uncle, has decided to kill Xuan Kai in this chapter. Now then...how will things turn out from here? And I don't mean the tournament.
In this world, it's kill or be killed. However, if you choose to go up against our MC, well...it is unknown which one will end up in their grave. As the author, though, I can say it's probably not the MC.
By the way, I went back and made some revisions as I was writing this chapter, regarding how Liao Fen speaks. I decided to make him sound more street boy gangster kind of style. Flip back a few chapters to the intra-class tournaments if you want and see if you can spot these minor differences.
