"Why wouldn't it?"

This question made Qu Xing Xu pause his mind before he suddenly leaned forward.

His hand supported his body as he leaned forward enough to bring his face close to hers. He had the image of a rich noble son bullying a young girl.

Lin Xiaofei was surprised by his sudden movement and could only lean backward but the wall behind her enabled her to lean further back.

Before she could hit her head on the wooden walls of the carriage, Qu Xing Xu's hand shot forward and held the back of her head to prevent it from hitting the wall.

Lin Xiaofei was startled at this and wanted to sit upright but with him leaning forward, she found herself torn apart whether to lean on the wooden wall or to sit down properly.

And instead of pulling back and going back to his original sitting position which was on the other side of the wooden wall, Qu Xing Xu didn't take his hand off the back of her head and stayed in place.
