Kapitel 8: Why Is This Happening To Me?!
"Why can't I make up my mind?! No! Why is this happening to me?!"
Deb Oh was starting to become hysterical, her eyes darted widely around the small apartment unit that she lived alone shortly after graduating from nursing school and leaving her uncle's house which she stayed while in school.
Now she was back to bag a higher degree with the thought of earning a better pay than a lower level nursing certificate that she currently held. Working as a lower level nurse didn't require solving math questions because the order on the patient's medical record had the dose specified by the doctor to be given to a patient.
Her first nursing education skipped the requirement for medication math problem. The idea behind this was that the prospective candidate already had a background in high school math but the school administrators didn't factor in those that had an aversion for math.
The silent future killers if allowed to remain in their state of complacency would bring untold harm to the public in the form of sick patients laying in the wards not knowing that the nurse that was providing care could be doing more harm than good.
It was now left to Deb Oh whether or not she was going to survive nursing school in one piece and remain sane enough not to cause harm to her patients.
