<Yes... you. I've placed multiple images on your head on some occasions during the night to warn you about what was to come. You saw the battle before it even began and aside from this, you saw the flower, the key to your escape.>
"Wh-what do... d-do yo-u me- mean b-by th-at?" I thought of it as gobbledygook as I couldn't comprehend what Giratina was trying to point out.
<The blood of your flower is enough to restore my energy. All I ask is your permission and she will be mine. My energy restored, you will be granted access to your world above, I guarantee this.>
Then came the moment I knew what it was talking about. At that shocking moment, I gazed at Lily. She's the only one that looks like a flower among us. Our eyes twinkled as we knew what was to happen next.
"Why's she stuttering?" Dawn queried.
"It's a secret between the two of us," Logan replied. In response, Dawn pouted and hit pushed Logan's shoulder with her's.
"Now you're hiding secrets from me?"
"Hehe, I'm true to my words."
I rejected right away, "No!"
<That was a wise decision. Islands aplenty, you can choose wherever you want to live but the largest one is mine of course.> Giratina gave a little tease.
"I'- I'm sorry. I-it's a no. Lily is mine." I stuttered, having difficulty in speech as I took Lily's hand, blocking her from Giratina.
<The Pokemon, you must choose. Sacrifice her, and you will live on Earth, let her live, and you will stay here with me for all eternity.>Giratina questioned.
"No! Th-that is my deci-decision." I replied again while Cynthia, Logan, Dawn, and Zeal, all four of them were staring at me with pity and empathy.
<Lili>Liligant went in front of me. Her eyes glimmered in tears as she went straight to me and cuddled me sweetly.
"Do-Don't worry. I- I'm not letting you go." I reassured, hugging her back tightly as I glared at the Giratina. No, that's it. I'm not sacrificing her.
<Lili! Lili!>Lily nodded her head twice and went separated from my arms. She pointed at Giratina, at the same time, went closer.
"Wh-what?! D-don't tell me... yo-you're willing to do it." my eyes couldn't believe her sudden actions and I that intensified when she nodded her head. She was crying, I can see her tears falling on the soil as with a heavy heart, she wanted to sacrifice herself for the rest of us to return.
"I forbid it." I was in complete denial, even pulling her hands to my side but she struggled and released herself out of my grip. I knelt on the floor, my hands were grasping the soil of the island as I would've never thought my first Pokemon would soon be gone. I just couldn't accept, my tears were raw as if there was an open wound on my heart.
First, my nose grew very red at the tip; then, my small mouth screwed itself around by my left ear; gradually, my round face wrinkled till it resembled a withered crabapple; and finally, if one listened intently and watched closely, one could hear small sniffs and see two infinitesimal drops of water issue from my nearly closed and wrinkled eyes.
She went closer to me and lifted me back to my feet. I cried unceasingly on her chest as I begged her not to leave me. She whispered soothing, <Li... Lili.> and I knew she meant to say was, "It's for the very best."
Logan came by and tapped my shoulder, I looked at him and saw my smile. He was trying to comfort me but that wouldn't stop my tears that kept on flowing like water from a dam. The water never seemed to stop escaping my eyes, my tears never seem to be drained. They flow limitlessly.
<Lili... Lili...>Vines spurt from her back as she wiped off my tears for the final time. I implored, whispering to her ears, "Don't go, p-please don't le-leave me."
We separated from each other's arms as she took a stick from the nearby kelp. She began to draw as all five us were stunned. As she drew, I can see her tears falling down, soaking her very own creation. It was a flower and inside that flower was a note she wrote for me.
I read it on my mind as everybody did the same, "No one can separate us, not even death. I'm by your side, all the time." though she wrote the letter to cheer me up, it did nothing but to make me far worse as more tears drained my soul. I still swiftly tilted my head sideways, disagreeing with her completely but she doesn't seem to go in accord with me.
"Luna, everything's going to be alright." Cynthia wrapped me in her arms as she whispered on my ears.
<Lili... Lili...> she waved and slowly, she stepped forward to Giratina while moving at me but then I struggled out of Cynthia's grip, literally kicking back and forth to cuddle her for one final moment. She patted my back as she gave me something from her hand. It was a violet flower and I recognized upon seeing it. It was the very same flower I gave her as a Petilil on my fifteenth birthday.
And there, I bade my final words, a final goodbye to her. "I wo-won't forget you. Y-you will always be my Lily, I'll al-always remember you." then came Cynthia who restrained me again while comforting me. She kept on whispering, "It'll be fine, your Lily will always be with you." I held her flower on my palm as she slowly stepped towards Giratina. My only remembrance to her is the Heart Ball and the flower. Now she'll be joining my mother.
Giratina smirked as a black shadow cloaked her entire body. The shadow cloaked her for a minute and faded right away, revealing a thousand pieces of what was once my Lily. Flowers, she became cherry blossoms. It reminds me of the time I saw Arceus. I wonder if I played with the body of the dead during that time.
There was no wind, the petals of the cherry blossoms fell to the soil. I cried deeply and all that came out of my mouth were hiccups. And then all of a sudden the petals rose and whirled around me as if there was wind all of a sudden. I felt her embrace as the petals ascended upward. As for the shadow, it faded and returned to Giratina, there he gave us a smirk.
<Thank you, Lily will always be with you and now I shall do my promise. Goodbye.>
