68.75% POKEMON: BLAST OFF! / Chapter 417: EPISODE 88: Let the Fight for the World Begin!*

Kapitel 417: EPISODE 88: Let the Fight for the World Begin!*

We had a strange feeling that was hard to explain. It wouldn't be normal if all of us had the same feeling. Even Cyrus himself felt the sudden acid boiling in his stomach. Though, if this certain feeling could affect biotic factors such as me and my Pokemon and the rest of us, it could surely affect abiotic factors as well. We had a hunch this came from the portal opening behind Cyrus.

The pillars could be an example. For some odd reason, they began to glitch, literally. As if matter's database was being corrupted. The pillars shook and as they did, they were also becoming sloppy like bananas. They then turn back to strong and might pillars and once they became sloppy as bananas. It kept on happening in front of our eyes as they shook.

The dark skies were odder. It was as if we're inside some microchip or laptop screen. Colors came from every direction, glitching like a broken television. It rained rocks and what could be worse? The grunts and people around me suddenly turned into cubes and blocks. they were fragile that in a touch, they could immediately be shattered.

"What's happening?" Cyrus wondered as he watched his men turning into blocked figures. Then came the familiar blaring sounds of sirens belonging to helicopters. We all tilted our heads behind and saw the Pokemon International Police air squad heading to us. The trainers and the champion were rejoicing but that was when their helicopters turned into stone all of a sudden. Because of the weight, they crashed to the foot of the mountain.

"Is... Is the world ending?" Cyrus wondered as contemplated every single one of us panicking in distress as most turned into blocks, pillars fell down, the skies glitched as the clouds continuously changed colors. This appears to be affecting every region.

My foot was stepping on mud puddles when suddenly I jolted as far as I could from it after seeing a hand emerging out and trying to pull me down to the hidden depths of the puddles. Everyone was running around. Rock types literally turned into rocks, dark types became shadows and were trapped in the floor with on way out.

Infernape became a literal fire, Empoleon turned into water and Lucario was swiftly returned to its Pokeball before it was transformed into a punching bag of sorts. Meanwhile, as we thought and tried to comprehend what was happening around us, the deities fought above our heads. Beams blasted everywhere, as far as the eyes could see.

Meanwhile, a few meters from the top of the mountain was Detective Looker and his squadron. He witnessed the helicopters that turned into stone. It petrified him, nearly steering his vehicle to the side of the mountain. His cars and the cars behind him seem to be doing alright, however.

"Mr. Looker! Mr. Looker! Have you seen the latest news?!"

"Not yet, Emma! I'm driving! Someone's gotta explain how our helicopters turned into stone for no reason at all!"

"Well, that doesn't seem like a conflict compared to what's affecting the whole region!" Emma alerted after scrolling through her phone, seeing the latest news report.

"What do you mean?"

"Magnitude five and above detected in three major cities. Hearthome, Veilstone, and Pastoria. People are turning into this black weird cubes and it is said hands, literally, hands emerged from anything that had water. The color of the skies continuously change and Pokemon turned into objects based on their specific type, Mr. Looker!" Emma read the news report on her phone.

"That would explain why the clouds above us are pink."

"It's as if matter is glitching. Who could be responsible for all of this?!" Emma wondered as she stared out to her window.

"Ah!" the detective screamed as a large boulder from the skies collided to the ground. It blocked his path and due to shock, he was unable to stop his car which made it bump the stone. His windshield broke as the car behind him unintentionally bumped his as the rest of the vehicles hit one another. Some fell off the side of the mountain, the others were crashed with the raining boulders.

"Emma, are you alright?" Detective Looker took a glance at Emma. Her body seemed frail as there was a shard of glass piercing her lower abdomen. Emma wasn't responding as the detective tried to reach for her, trapped in his seat by the airbag squeezing his face.

A minute afterward, Emma winked her eyes and woke up from all the distress happening around her. She was hearing an irritating noise from her ears and as she tried to lift her body, she shrieked, feeling the pain of the shard piercing her lower abdomen. She was strapped her seat belt and she couldn't believe her eyes upon seeing the detective.

"Mr. Looker! Mr. Looker!" she called his name but it was too late. The detective's body was completely turned into stone. She cried for help as the shard went deeper the more she struggled. "Help! Anyone!" she cried desperately, imploring for a miracle to happen right in front of her eyes.

The chief turned to stone, half of the squadron was devastated by unknown causes, what will happen next to the world we live in? Perhaps Cyrus was right, the world is changing or in this case, ending. Unless someone is responsible for glitching matter.

"Luna!" Charlotte called my name from afar. I turned my body around and saw her running towards me. She extended her arm to my face and an inch away, her body transformed into wood in front of my very own eyes.

"Ch-Charlotte?!" I didn't want to touch her for I knew she would end up crumbling into pieces. Her aghast expression was there but carved as wood.

"Luna! Concentrate! There's a chance we could save them, just follow my lead!" Logan took my hand and pulled me far from the epicenter of the crisis. We left the platform and hid somewhere behind a pillar in which I saw Dawn, the champion, Zeal, and the twins.

"Glad you're not one of them. The rest are nothing but stone, if not, glass or wood." Zeal hugged me fervently. She sighed in relief.

"I saw Charlotte. She turned into stone right in front of my face." I had a hoarse voice, my eyes were soaring red as I mourned for her.

"Listen. If we want to end all of this, we need to close that portal Cyrus is staring at!" the champion restored a bit of hope.
