Kapitel 85: EPISODE 85: Rivalry*
Who is to blame for the loss of the great fire trainer? Is it really me? The last time I checked, he's the one who jumped down the bridge for the sake of his Pokemon.
"Murderer," Jenny yells once more with a ferocious tone.
"I did not do anything!" I shout back.
I and her are like two dogs trying to growl at each other in a dog fight. Xavier and Charlotte try to calm me as the Master Four tries to calm Jenny.
With intense pressure, they pull our arms, separating us from getting close. However, both of us are eager to fight, and it looks like Jenny has judged the future a long time ago.
I remember when she said, "Think about it, you and me? Fighting against each other?" during the time we first star gazed in the orphanage. Looks like she's right all along.
"Am I to believe the person who betrayed her own mother... her own friend? What have I done for you to deserve this? We were friends, yet you chose to leave!" Suddenly her intensity cools by a bit, as she starts to shed a tear.
"The world did. Of course, you don't know how it feels to be insulted and mocked because you do not have a burden unlike me.
It is only in Team Rocket where they gave me a chance to have a typical life. A chance to be respected once in for all."
"Everything they told you is a hoax. Can't you understand that?" Jenny mutters. Her eyes are clouds, pouring tears on the bridge. She hesitated to fight for one last time.
"I am not returning! There is nothing you can do about it. This is me, and only I can change the course of my life. If you want to fight, then so be it."
"No Luna, I don't want to fight because you are my friend. But I have no choice but to do it just to snap you back to reality-" With a soft voice, she utters. It then inclines, "Raichu, use Electro Ball!"
"Luna, don't do this." Charlotte and Xavier beg but I ceased to notice them. She launched a move, and so will I!
"Absol, Throat Chop!"
With her attack, Absol pushes the Electro ball off the bridge. It hits the floor, causing the flames to spew like a fountain. In the midst of the burning facility, the day me and Jenny dreaded for months have finally commenced.
The Master Four, Charlotte, and Xavier, have no choice but to watch our inferno spirits clashing to each other. For us, they are like ghosts, cannot be seen nor heard.
"Raichu, use Thunderbolt!" As the downpour from her eyes continues, she instructs Raichu.
<Rai! Rai! Rai!>Raichu rubs her cheeks, causing the stored electricity to head towards Absol. Indeed, Absol was hit but it wasn't very effective.
"Sword Dance!" I instruct. Absol then pounces the ground, not only causing the bridge to shake but also increasing Absol's attack power.
"Careful Luna, if the bridge falls we all di"
"I am aware of that!" I tilt back, shouting at Xavier as if he's nothing but a stranger.
"Raichu, Iron Tail!"
"Counter with Throat Chop!"
The two ferocious Pokemons collide, inflicting damage to both of them. They then blast back due to the immense power of their moves.
"Please Luna, I do not want to prolong this argument of ours. Please, I miss the real you." Jenny halts the battle, continuing to beg with a sincere tone.
I ignore her in response, and ordered Absol to use Quick Attack. Jenny or Raichu, fine by me, as long as Absol hits an attack on one of them.
With Absol charging to Jenny, Raichu decides to protect her trainer by blocking Absol's path. Although, without hesitation, Absol continues to run, hitting Raichu in the way.
Raichu blasts off the bridge, shocking the hell out of all of them. Me? Not that much since that was quite expected. After seeing her Pokemon descending to the flames, Jenny quickly grabbed Raichu's tail.
"Hang in there!" Jenny instructs with tears turning to sweat as she uses all her might to pull Raichu up.
"Luna, that's enough. You've already thought her a lesson, now stop. Have pity for once." Magnolia of the Master Four begs with sincerity. She even knelt down for me to spear Jenny.
I am then left with a mind conflicting with its own self. This is the perfect opportunity to prove my worth in Team Rocket, but this will however be my last time to see my first friend. The choice is up to me.
"Ab... Absol-"
"Luna! Please don't." Jenny pleads while clinging to her Raichu's tail.
"Quick Attack!" I finish the instructions. Indeed, there was a slight hesitation inside of me but just like before, aggression won over compassion.
Jenny closes her eyes and accepts her own agony. With a push, she and Raichu fall down the bridge and into the flames. The sensation of regret suddenly shrouds me, and that is my first time to shed a tear for someone else.
However, things start to escalate after seeing Jenny and Raichu floating to the sky. They then ascend back to the bridge. I was in total awe for no human can learn telekinesis except... for Sabrina and her Pokemon.
I turn to my back, and as expected, I see Sabrina and her Alakazam. Beside her, is no other than my mother, Athena. With a subtle pace, she walks to me. She starts to cry after seeing the face of her long lost daughter...
