The raid has ceased, and lucky for Team Rocket there is no major damage done except for the bridge which connects the east and west wing of the tower. There are minor damages, such as broken artifacts and design factors, but it could be easily fixed.
On the other hand, the Pokemon Government Council has failed to achieve the Mewtwo database. Aside from this, their leader Morduk has fallen. I had no hopes of killing my former father, he killed himself after betraying me for the second time.
As for Charlotte and Xavier, they seem relieved after protecting the Mewtwo Database from the troops. The PGC is now nothing but an organization with merely a hundred members left or so. Most of them were arrested by the Pokemon Police Department.
As for me? I was left with a scar on my left eye. Even up until now, the wound still swells. Luckily, Team Rocket has a hardworking nurse, Nurse Avery.
"The scar is permanent. You may still be able to use your left eye but its sight will be much blurred than the right eye." Nurse Avery utters while checking my eyes with the use of a small flashlight. This flashlight is somewhat different from the other original ones out there.
"Meaning... I'll be like this forever?" I look to my hands. I feel a bit nauseous for I am not used to having unequal eyesights yet.
"Well, that's what permanent means right? Don't worry. You'll get used to it soon." With a toothy smile, Nurse Avery soothes me. She then gave me a pat on the shoulder and allowed me to step outside the clinic.
I will be honest, having unequal eyesights is really tough. At times, I would feel dizzy or even nauseous, causing my body to stumble frequently.
Outside the Pokemon Rocket Clinic, I am greeted by two worried friends who appear to be waiting outside for more than an hour already.
"Luna? How are you feeling?" After seeing my face, Charlotte dashes then hugs my body. She didn't care about my scar for all she wanted to see was her friend looking safe and aided.
"I am fine. Although, it will take a long time before I get used to these surroundings." I hug her back and relieve her worry.
"Someone has deactivated the Defence Mechanisms of this tower, causing the troops to enter with ease. I hypothesize that its no other than the traitor's work." Xavier walks closer with a face that seems to be thinking deeply.
"Giovanni won't believe me. I kept on telling him that I and Luna saw Matori having a little chat with Violet. If only the pictures were clear.
She still acts innocent no matter what, looks like she's playing hard to find." Charlotte thinks deeply. Me? I have no idea about what they're talking about since I was in Fuchsia city at that time.
"Hmm, without valid proof we can'-"
"Well, I have proof! Right, Luna? we saw Matori trying to talk with professor Violet. Plus, we were able to eavesdrop her phone call." Charlotte interrupts and persists to force Xavier on believing her. Me? I agree with Charlotte, we've seen Matori talking to professor Violet in the nearby cafe.
On the other hand, back in the Pokemon Police Department of Saffron City, the police are left with a baffled mind after the occurrence of two previous raids. They now talk things out about what actions they'll take next.
"Team Rocket and the Pokemon Government Council is getting out of hand. First, they put Vermillion City in danger, and now they put Viridian City in danger!" On the circular table wherein all officers are gathered, a police exclaims.
"Saffron City is also surrounded by Rocket Grunts. Their organization is spreading like wildfire. If I'm not mistaken, they've already established a hideout in the Hoenn Region." Another officer speaks out.
For more than half an hour, all of them were countering each other's ideas towards our so-called threat. From the buzzing noise, another officer stands and silences everyone. He then speaks out his words and opinions.
"Team Rocket won't be a threat if they don't have the girl." An image of me flashes on their screen. Jenny was also there during the conference. She looked down, trying to avoid looking at my portrait.
"Luna Evergreen? I've heard she killed the General of the Pokemon Government Council, and severely wounded one of their troops." Hearing their statements, Jenny is left with shock. Her eyes tried their best to avoid shedding a single tear.
"That girl is a murderer! She should be arrested right away." Another police utters and suggests.
"No, she's not," Jenny utters from the distance, countering everyone's opinion and standing up for me.
"And I presume that you know the girl?"
Jenny swallows her saliva gravely. As much as possible, she didn't want the police to hurt me so she decided to think of an excuse. "No, I don't know her but I know her mother."
"That is ridiculous, then how can you say that she's not a murderer?" A police doubts from the far corner.
"Her mother told me, she loves to draw, read, and picture. She's a calm woman, who loves to stargaze with her friend." Jenny stutters, as the moments we had together rolls back to her mind. She clenches her fists, trying her best not to show evidence of lies and falsehoods.
"Hmm, if what you say is true, then something or someone has changed her. Anyways, we'll leave this case to the detective of the Pokemon Police Department." Another police sighs and drops a yellow folder on the table.
Jenny avoided to say another word as she walks out of the conference room. At her private compartment, she starts to cry, mourning for me to return. Her mind also starts to counter itself. It's either protect the whole region or protect her friend.
Another character has been hinted which will be appearing in volume two! Readers with sharp eyes have probably noticed this :)
