In the test of strength, Nakash wanted to be strong first and attack later. Therefore, though the initial stage of his plan was the same as the one that he suggested to Saaransh, the inner workings were quite different given the devil that Nakash was.

Firstly, he manipulated time for Soham, bringing them both at par while slowing down Dominic to the speed of a normal human being at the same time. Secondly, Nakash chose the lake side to tackle him as it was more open, giving him enough space to set up a trap.

Unlike Kaya, Soham had fully control of his powers, had a good amount of grey matter over his shoulders and was able to easily adjust to the changes Nakash incorporated. This made things easier for Nakash as he only had to give guidance and need not supervise the whole thing. As a result, Nakash was able to focus on other things while Soham entertained Dominic.
