Kapitel 17: Picnic Part 1

"Again!" Calder shouted as he heavily panted. He had a heavy, dull cavalry sword in his hands. "Your highness. I think the men have had enough." A tall, broad man with a heavy scar down is left side of his face said.

"Commander Wystan, if these men were with us during the war they would have been picked off one by one and you know that. They need to be more discipline, better trained and gain more experience. Now again. Come at me!" Calder roared.

"Alright men, dog pile. Now!" Commander Wystan yelled and his men charged. Calder started blocking the men's attacks. He couldn't completely concentrate, he raised his foot and kicked a poor soldier in the gut, sending him flying into his comrades. Calder cursed, he really could give it his all in the battle. His mind kept going back to Lady Syria and how her handmaid accepted her shoe.

Lady Syria refused to see him and refused to answer his brunch invitation. Calder gritted his teeth as he raised his sword. The soldiers raised their own swords but no one could stop Calder's rampage. "Use your eyes! Find an opening and attack!" Wystan shouted. Calder didn't know what was making him so frustrated but he couldn't calm down, emotionally or physically. He should have been happy, relieved that Lady Syria refused him but his heart and lower member wouldn't settle down.

"Ahhh!" Calder yelled as he stood in the middle of a pile of bodies looking possessed. He was heaving heavily, his eyes were blazing with rage and his face looked animalistic. Commander Wystan shook his head as he grabbed his own sword. "Wow!" A sweet voice gasped. Commander Wystan and Calder turned to the voice and glared.

Standing close by with a basket stood a fair skinned girl. She had soft, rose gold hair, she had a petite body with not very obvious curves. Her lips were thin and a gentle pink, she had a button nose and big, bright, periwinkle coloured eyes. "I-I-I-I'm s-so sorry!" Lady Britille shouted as she bowed repeatedly. "Ah Lady Britille what brings you here." Commander Wystan said as he put away his sword.

"Ah Commander! Please pardon my intrusion but," Lady Britille said as she glanced at Calder. It looked like he calmed down but he was actually shaking inside. He stabbed his heavy cavalry into the ground and moved towards the tree where he hung his white shirt.

Lady Britille swallowed hard then looked at Commander Wystan. "His Majesty told me that his highness hadn't properly eaten breakfast. So I came looking for him with food." Lady Britille said as she raised the basket.

Calder looked back as he buttoned up his shirt. "I'm fine.' Calder replied bluntly. 'O-oh..." Lady Britille said in defeated tone. "W-w-well I don't want the food to go to waste. Do your men want some of the sandwiches? I made too much for one person to eat." She said pathetically. The pile of bodies instantly rose from the dead.

"Thank you!" They all shouted as they pounced on Lady Britille. She screamed in a panic as she was swallowed up by the men. Calder walked over in long strides and fished Lady Britille out. She looked up at Calder with tear filled eyes and a small pout.

"T-thank you." She said pathetically. Calder nodded his head. "Ah this isn't food." Someone shouted as they threw a book into the air. "Oh no my book!" Lady Britille yelled. Calder placed her down on the ground and rushed to retrieve the book.

A dark aura surrounded the area as Calder bent down and picked up the book. "Who threw this." He hissed as his face shrouded in darkness and his amethyst eyes glowed an ominous purple.

The men quickly grabbed a guy and shoved him up to the front so they could present Calder with their sacrifice. A young man with tuffs of black hair, sticking up in all angles shivered as he stood in front of Calder.

Calder sighed after he glared at the sacrifice. He wasn't sure if it was really him who threw the book but at the same time he couldn't prove it wasn't him. "Commander Wystan!" Calder barked. Commander Wystan looked lazily at Calder. "Your new soldiers really do lack discipline. I think it would be in your best interest to beat manners into them. What do you say?' Calder said with a dark smile.

Commander Wystan's eyes sparkled to life. "I think you're right your highness. What do you suggest I do to teach them?" He said as his face twisted with a dark smile that matched Calder's. "I think we should have them do the butterfly run. What do you think?" Calder asked. "I think that's possible but only on one condition." Commander Wystan said as his smile turned more crooked.

Calder calmed down and tilted his head as he looked at the Commander quizzically. "Listen to one request from the Lady. She must have been shocked from the experience and will need to be comforted. Calder looked a Lady Britille. The moment their eyes met, lady Britille jumped in fear. Giving her the look of a frightened bunny in a cage.

"Deal." Calder sighed as he looked back at the Commander. "Good. Now," The Commander said as he gave Calder a toothy grin. He the turned his gaze to the young soldiers. "Esper get a few barrels of water."

Calder smiled at the soldiers and gave them a small wave. The small smile scared them half to dead and some fainted on the spot. Calder then walked up to Lady Britille. "Shower." Calder announced as he bowed to Lady Britille.

Lady Britille turned bright red and fainted on the spot. Calder didn't move fast enough and when he saw Lady Britille she was already on the ground. Lady Britille's handmaid started to scream in a panic while Rutley ran over and shook his head in disbelief. "Why didn't you say 'I need a shower' at least she could have guessed the rest." Rutley groaned as he picked up Lady Britille.
