'I always thought the main reason I disliked Mashima was because of the relationship he had with Sumire. But, it's not just that. The reason I dislike him so much is because he is the complete opposite of me. He is the type of person I want to be, but cannot.'

"Mom, can I sleep with you?"

Sumire snuggles her face against Tamaki's. "Mmm, of course." She turns to Toh. "You'll join us soon?"

"Of course beautiful."

Sano frowned at the thought. Even with the child sleeping between them, something could still happen- He shakes his head.

'Mashima isn't like me. Mashima has proven repeatedly that he is different.'

Sumire looks at him and laughs. "Um, I'll see you in the morning? I had fun today."

'Fun? It's not like they went out.'

Sano nodded and told her goodnight. He watched the two disappear down the corridor leading to a set of stairs. 

"Care for a drink?"
