Kapitel 10: His Message

"What did I put myself into?"

Xia was lying on her bed and unable to sleep despite the fact that it's past eleven in the evening. She's been sighing for a while now. Her body naturally falls asleep when nine pm strikes but tonight it seems impossible to drift away to dreamland since so many things were occupying her mind and bothering thoughts are making her wide awake.

After almost half an hour of twisting and turning at the top of her bed, she decided to stop forcing herself to sleep and pulled her body up so she could lean on the headboard for a more comfortable position. That way her body could relax and maybe she will fall asleep soon.

The stock of the soft pillow behind her back gave her satisfaction. She feels more balanced inside. For a moment Xia closed her eyes and allowed her thoughts to drift away. She was at peace and calm with her new position.
