Kapitel 64: Ch. 63 The Beach

I rushed to the beach, it was crowded just like my dream. There would be no place to show my wings without causing panic. I looked out at the islands and thought about how I was going to get there. I couldn't swim, it was too far. There was almost no other option. I would have to wait. Stepping onto the sand, I walked over to the least crowded part of the beach and sat down on the sand. The cool breeze from the land drifted around me and through my hair. After sitting there for a few moments a big gust of window blew up. When the gust died down I looked down at my lap, there was sand all over me. I stood up and started brushing it off. The sand was almost gone when I felt a tap on my shoulder. I slowly turned my head to see who it was. Zack stood before me with three other people.

"Oh! Hi!" I said trying to sound excited while still brushing sand off my shirt and pants.

"Hey! What are you doing over here all alone?"

"Oh, I was just enjoying the view."

"Nice!" he paused and glanced at the people who looked odly familiar. "Your welcome to join us if you'd like."

It was 12 in the afternoon, there would still be plenty of people here. Hmm, sure why not.

"Sure! If thats okay?" I glanced slightly at the people.

"Ofcourse!" the only girl of the group said.

She looked familiar, she had golden hair and some what pale skin. Her eyes were blueish but with a gentle look. She seemed kind.

"Thanks!" I said and joined them.

We walked around the beach for couple of seconds before deciding on a spot.

"Your Myira right?" the girl asked me while she dug through her bag.

"Yes."

"Okay nice to meet you! I'm Natalie but you can call me Nali." She said holding out her hand.

I have only experienced this one other time. I remember it being called a 'handshake'. I took her hand my opposite and shook it.

"Nice to meet you!" I replied.

She finished digging through her bag and pulled out a blue and purple towel. She handed one end of it to me. I helped her open it and lay it out on the sand.

"It's really windy out today." she said as she layed her backpack down on one corner of the towel.

"It is!"

Zack and the other people that accompanied him rolled out two more towels and layed them out on the sand. I looked at Zack. He seemed uncomfortable.

"Have a seat." a voice said suddenly.

I looked down to see Nali patting the empty part of the towel. I smiled and sat down.

"Do you have a suit?" she asked me.

"Uhm what?"

"A swimsuit?"

"Ohh! No I don't." I responded, even though I didn't really understand what she meant.

"Would you like to borrow my spare?"

"Sure! If thats alright?"

"Ofcourse it is!" she said and started digging through her bag.

She pulled out a long peice of black cloth and handed it to me.

"We can be matching!" she said laughing.

She took off her shirt and shorts revealing the same black cloth. Was I supposed to put this on? Maybe I should ask.

"Where should I change?"

"Uhmm." she said thinking "The bathroom is shut down soo, if you're alright with it me and the guys could hold spare towels up and you can change?"

"Uh sure."

"Noah! Zack!" she called to the guys who were standing far away from where we were sitting.

"Yeah?" the man who I assume to be Noah called back.

"Come here!" she yelled while waving.

They made our way over to us.

"What?" Noah asked.

"Myira needs to change but the bathrooms are closed. Can we hold towels around her?"

I could feel the air around us grow awkward, I felt slightly embarrassed. I glanced up at them they seemed uncomfortable as well.

"Yeah sure." Noah spoke and picked up one of the spare towels on the ground and shook it off.

Zack and Nali did the same. All three of them held the towels up to their backs and faced the opposite direction. I stepped into the middle of the group and took off my clothes. I changed into the suit as fast as I could. After a few seconds of struggling I finally got it on.

"I'm done." I said loud enough for them to hear. That was very awkward.

"Thanks!"

They stepped away and layed the towels back down on the ground.

"We are going to head back." Zack said.

"Okay." Nali said softly.

She turned her attention back to me.

"You look much better in that than I do! You can keep it if you want, it doesn't fit me very well that is why I have two."

"Oh! Thanks!"

She smiled and started digging in her backpack again. She was odly nice. Even though she knew my secrets she still treated me with respect. Maybe there are more out there that are like her and Zack. I looked down at the suit it was slightly uncomfortable. I noticed there was a strap for adjustment. Grabbing it, I tugged on it and the strap loosened. I did the same for the other side.

"Can you spray this on me?" Nali said as she stood up and handed me a can.

I grabbed it and she turned around. I looked at the can and it read 'SUNSCREEN' in bold letters on the label. Pressing down on the top I began spraying it on her. When I was done I handed the can back to her.

"Would you like some?" she asked while shaking the can.

"Sure!"

I turned around and she began spraying me. The spray was surprisingly cold and dry.

"Done!" she said and set the can back in her bag.

"Are you ready to meet up with the guys?" she asked me.

"Yes!"

"Alright!"
