Kapitel 71: Chapter 71 - The Golden Globe Awards

The Golden Globe Awards ceremony was broadcast live on ABC television. The crew of Home Alone was arranged to enter right after the crew of the most nominated movie, Rain Man. After being directed by a staff member, Eric took to the red carpet with Drew.

Mocked by some media as the most business-minded awards ceremony, the red carpet of the Golden Globes reached only a dozen meters. This is quite small, compared to the more than 200 meters of red carpet at the Oscars.

In the next five minutes, Morgan's commentary ridiculed every movie that was nominated but rarely mentioned any TV series. Eric had long anticipated this result. Both 17 Again and Working Girl belonged to Fox. However, 17 Again had been released for nearly two months, while Working Girl was released for less than three weeks. For the influence of the awards on box office, the public relations department of Fox would definitely choose the Working Girl to win.

As for Sigourney Weaver's performance, who cares?

During Eric's trip to New York, Working Girl had just been released. Aniston and he deliberately went to watch it.
