Kalmin curled up into a ball of the floor, severally shaken from her outburst. He could feel the warm blood dripping down his back, slowly rolling down from the spot when she slammed the whip into his skin but the pain was now a distant memory and his eyes start to blur.
"THIS IS WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU DON'T PROTECT THE MARK I LEAVE ON YOU," Annabeth growled, she reached down and grabbed Kalmin by the hair, lifting his head to face hers and violently shook it, "I hate doing this too, but I hate seeing the whip marks of somebody else on you the most. You're mine."
Annabeth looked into his eyes, "you know that right?"
Kalmin did the tiniest nod, his head vibrating from the amount of pain his body was receiving. Why? He cried in his head as she continued to strike him, you say you like me, I'm yours, but yet I can't trust those words the more you hold that whip and hurt me with it.
"I'm sorry," Annabeth sobbed slowly putting down her whip and pulling Kalmin close, "I'm sorry but this is your fault, why did you let her touch you? It's been months of you living here with us so you should know how I feel about you letting another person hit you."
Kamin knew so many words he could have said in return but his lips remained shut. He didn't know how many more whips he could take before he would collapse and Alice, he needed to stay safe for her. He wasn't sure what was more painful, his argument with Alice, or the whippings he got for disobedience. How much more did he have to go… how long does he have to keep doing this? At the beginning, he hated everything and everyone and tried to escape with every breath he had but now, he simply waited as the walls with spikes slowly closed, poking him slowly until they would squish him. Wh-
"AHHHHHHHHHHH," a scream echoed down the hall banging on Annabeth's door.
"A- Alice," Kalmin muttered under his breath, the voice so familiar it sent shivers down his mind. He pulled away from Annabeth and scrambled to his feet, falling twice before standing up wobbly.
"Kalmin? Where are you going? Who's Alice?" Annabeth asked, grabbing his hand.
"I have to go now," Kalmin muttered weakly, pushing Annabeth away.
"Are you talking about that voice who just yelled?" Annabeth asked grabbing Kalmin's hand again, "it's just another one of his girls you know. Sheesh he should keep it down, it's the third time this week."
"The what?" Kalmin repeated his mind slowly starting to get a grasp on the situation. That b@stard, he frowned, his teeth grazing against each other. Immediately he pushed Annabeth away again and looked down at her as she fell to the ground, "Where is he?"
Kalmin staggered to the door, his head dizzy from the pain on his back and every step felt like someone was kicking his back, stepping all over every cut and leaving his legs as a quivering mess.
"You can't seriously be thinking about saving that girl, are you? She's none of your business and you are not done entertaining me! You should be focused on me," Annabeth growled, she stood up and grabbed his hand again this time with a much tighter grip than before, "You are not leaving me until your time up here is done, and I get tired of you."
Annabeth pulled him by the hand and pushed him into the wall, pressing his wounded back into the wall. Kalmin's eyes flickered as his legs quivered from the pain that rushed over his body from Annabeth's sudden movement.
"You are not leaving me here got it? I could care less about the girl and how harshly she is treated by Justin, but you," Annabeth muttered, keeping him pressed tightly into the wall as she ran her finger down his face and to his lips, "but you… I own you, and I wouldn't dare to have anything touch you but me, and certainly won't allow you to go off to see another girl."
Kalmin gritted his teeth, his vision blurring as she gently pulled him closer to her, holding his head in her hands gently, "now come here and let me be good to you."
Kalmin had the urge to give in, his eyes slowly closing and Annabeth led him to her bed and pushed him down. His body felt like it was melting into the fluffy covers on her bed, would it be ok to just… let go? He thought to himself as Annabeth climbed onto the bed. Yea… maybe just a bit of-
"AHHHHHHHH!!!" The second scream bounced into the room, rattling Kalmin. What was he doing? He needed to go now. Kalmin struggled to get up, the soft covers were like a vacuum sucking him in, the thoughts of sleep and just falling deep into the covers was intriguing.. So intriguing he could just-
"AHHHHHH!!!" The third scream came, and it was enough to wake him up. He opened his eyes slowly like there was someone waiting to hurt him outside and locked eyes with Annabeth, who sat on him.
"What are you?" Kalmin huffed, each word seemed to be dragged out, his mouth unwilling to move.
"I-" Annabeth began looking away from Kalmin, "I was just trying to…"
"Get off," Kalmin gasped, his mind was not ready to deal with anything other than what was happening to his sister. This situation was certainly not something he was ready to deal with.
"What?" Annabeth replied, feeling dismissed.
"GET OFF!" Kalmin yelled, he pushed Annabeth away, doing his best not to hurt her and stood up from the bed, adrenaline powering every move he made, "I'm sorry.. I just-" Kalmin ended his talk when the fourth scream came in. He turned to the door, a murderous look in his eyes as he wondered the many things he could do to the person hurting his sister.
"Are you?" Annabeth asked following his eyes. Her thoughts were confirmed when he staggered to the door and pulled it open. "Wait, please don-" before she knew it, he was out the door. Oh no…
Kalmin staggered down the halls, sometimes straying off his path and running into a wall but then picked himself on and continued down the hall. He needed to find the room, now before the anger in him is beat down by the pain slowly overwhelming him.
"AHHHHH!!!" the scream rings out again, this time notifying him of her location. Kalmin rushed to the room and stared at the door before pushing it open.
Silence seems in, paralyzing Kalmin and Justin who was on top of Alice. Pieces of her clothing were on the floor, a sign of the protesting/struggle that Alice had put up.
"Brother…" Alice muttered her voice hoarse, "please help me."
Everything went blank and the shrieks of pain, anger and frustration filled the room blocking out Kalmin's senses. His hands moved on their own, the sensation of meeting human skin became such a pleasure to him that Kalmin couldn't bring himself to stop, even when the sharp cracks of whips sliced into the air and his back. Blood. Blood was the only thing that could stop him. Blood on the cheeks and scarring the body of those who made him bleed, blood on the fingers of those who made him crawl beneath them, blood on the feet of those who made him work. All he wanted was to give them a take of their own medicine, was that too much to ask?
CRACK
The sound echoed through the air, silencing the movements of all in the room and setting off in Kalmin's ear, filling his head with buzzes. His movements slowed to a stop and his eyes rolled to the back of his head and gravity pushed against him, pressing him into the ground. The sound of heavy breathing was the last Kalmin heard, along with a distant cry of his name.
