Dr. Rick had always admired Maxim's capabilities in their field and envied him for being rather close to the director, but in certain aspects, he felt like he was much smarter than Maxim. 

He had heard about the recent scuffle between Alex and Maxim where they beat up each other and it was something he frowned at. 

In his opinion, regardless of how skilled Maxim was in the medical field, he lacked insight and his actions were rather foolish no matter how one looked at it. Director Qin was old and his position would eventually fall in the hands of his grandson in a few years. Moreover, the Qin Family's influence was not just limited to this hospital but they were a renowned aristocratic family in Beijing and this hospital was just the tip of the iceberg of what they owned. Otherwise, Dr. Rick would not have chosen this place despite being sought by many other famous hospitals.
