After many hours of trekking across the ever scorched remains of Blossom Field, in the end the two safely made it to Melody... her expression of shock did nothing to help the mood, the motifs of Arch and Cobalts conversation dragged on their minds, but Cobalt smiled weakly anyways.
The pink haired healer graciously bestowed her medicine upon Arch, it wasn't quick or painless but slowly the wounds had filtered out the mysterious powder, then like a scene straight out of a movie she place her hands upon his back and healed him slowly as they sat upon the ground.
Cobalt could care less, he was busy thinking about the implications of what had been recently revealed to him... but more importantly he was internally making fun of Arch's real name... ' Lucis... holy shit that's funny ' if Cobalt didn't watch old T.V. shows then he wouldn't know that name from the pa-
That's when Cobalt realized. He had just recalled something. What an advancement, it seems everyday he manages to learn something new. Awesome. That was clearly the take away he needed from today, he liked watching old movies and shows... he immediately forgot about everything else and started noting it down.
- I like old T.V. shows. -
Now he had a total of 6 things he liked from real life that he could recall.
It took 2 hours to fully mend Arch's enormous health bar, but it was rather swift considering the circumstances, a few wounds needed actual stitch work as they simply refused to be healed normally... luckily Cobalt had some experience with using Alchemy on living beings, so he didn't have to harm Arch to place said stitches or use a needle.
A simple sewing string was used, and Cobalt made centers where the Holes needed to be, he diffused the string through the flesh and wrung it through him with moderate difficulty... even with consent from Arch to use Alchemy on him, a main issue with using Alchemy, he did manage to pull through without any pain.
After a bit of sanitization via Magic, they were set to go home... even Cobalt was yearning for a rest, but they had about an hour of walking ahead of them.
So, they walked.
Even with the sun setting they still had to bolster themselves to hike with an injured person once more, Cobalt still supporting him on the shoulder just in case... they didn't want to risk reopening the wounds, without further conversation or complications they made it home.
Nobody knew what had just transpired, all they saw was an injured Arch, a Sad Melody, and Cobalt who didn't show emotion... no, he was too busy thinking. Melody took Arch and split off from Cobalt, leaving him to slowly make way through the rough streets of the quickly established ' base ' that their side had accustomed themselves to.
Nobody made themselves known to Cobalt, seeing him thinking so hard and with such fury dissuaded any conversation between him and the passing soldiers and mercenaries, Jotun even hid her gaze from Cobalt... she feared this scowl as only bad things came from it... the last time she saw this Cobalt decided to nuke an entire kingdom.
Those were the days though, back when he used Ice magic. Jotun admired him for that, she was simply created from his Magic alone... she felt sad that he had discarded it... but that was so many years ago.
Cobalt continued his way towards his dormitory like regiments, what was this aching thought that sent those around them into panic... no, madness? To be frank, he was just angry... no single thought permeated his head, even though he held his aloof attitude in most situations he did have a rash temper inside... that showed itself a few times in the past, and now it was dominating him.
Why was Cobalt angry?
He was angry that when he tried using his new ability he developed... it seemingly disappeared, as if it never existed. He didn't know why, he couldn't even theorize why... yet he still wanted to try it more. He really wanted to do something with like, like posses a living armor or maybe implement it into controls for vehicles... but he couldn't figure out what was happening.
What has made him transfer to Nidus and not say... a small bird? Why not a Harpy? Why not a tree? Why not Melody or Arch? ' I would have to experiment on this further. ' he concluded... and so he stewed in his thoughts until he reached his bead, in which he then promptly collapsed.
