Kapitel 212: EPISODE 212: Elder vs Trainer! (Part 1)
"The battle will be a full six on six Pokemon match. Mega evolutions and substitutions are allowed. Alright, trainers send out your first Pokemons!" Camellia proclaims after volunteering to become the referee of the match. I, Kalem Ketsueki will show the power of my pokemons, even if I am aware that I'll be facing a Dragon Elder.
"Alolan Exeggutor, deploy for action!" The elder beams with determination, sending out a coconut tree as her first Pokemon. Me and my friends were shocked, not knowing that an Alolan Exeggutor is a dragon and grass type.
"For my first Pokemon, Heatmor, it's time to bring up the heat!" I counter determination with determination. This time, it's time to put my thinking skills to the test, I am certain that Grass types are weak to fire.
"Alright! Let the match begin!" Camellia proclaims, lifting her hand to the sky.
"Go ahead boy, you have the first move."
"Alright then! Heatmor use Fire Blast!"
<Heat!>The Pokemon cries, sending out a star-shaped flame to the Alolan Exeggutor. I was also shocked to see that the Elder's Pokemon did not flinch at all. It stood firmed, glaring at Heatmor despite being attacked by a move that is weak to the category it belongs to.
"It is our turn now, Exeggutor, use Dragon Pulse." The elder chuckles hysterically.
With that being said, a pulse of dragon power goes straight into Heatmor, damaging it gravely. After the settling of the attack, I look to my Pokemon, only to see its worn-out body filled with scratches and scars. The Elder is truly a powerful trainer.
"Heatmor now use Dig!"
"Quick Exeggutor, Iron Tail on the ground!"
<Exeg!>The three heads chanted, whacking their tail to the ground, causing the whole land to shake. Due to the quake, Heatmor is forced to jolt out of the ground, landing to the soil.
"Heatmor is unable to battle, Kalem please choose your second Pokemon," Camellia instructs. Seeing the Exeggutor defeating my Pokemon in two moves has raised my awareness. Now, I know what I must do in order to defeat the Elder.
"Thank you for battling Heatmor, return to your Pokeball. Zoroark, it's all up to you."
"A Zoroark eh? Alright then, Exeguttor... Bullet Seed!"
"Throat Chop to cut!"
<Zor! Zor!>Zoroark responds in a blitz. With her keen eyes, she cautiously watches the seeds traveling to her and chops them down with the attack.
"My? That's it. Exeguttor-"
"Zoroark, Night Daze!" I interrupt, attacking before the Elder gets a chance to call out a move. A black eerie of veils surround Exeggutor, succumbing to it. Once the attack settled, as expected Zoroark was able to knock down the walking tree, however that isn't the end of it yet. With maximum power and stamina, it stands back to the ground, glaring at Zoroark.
"Zoroark! Finish Exeggutor with Throat Chop!" I instruct. Seeing Zoroark jolting towards it, Exeggutor quickly tilts her long neck, causing Zoroark's attack to miss.
"Quick! This is your opportunity, grab the tail and toss it high!" I instructed, trying to innovate a move. With her strength, she lifts the tail and tosses the foe like Seismic Toss. Everybody was left with awe, even the elder. It then descends back to the ground, hitting itself harshly.
"Exeggutor, return. My... My, I guess you're an aspiring champion of our region. However, to be honest, I have battled stronger trainers."
"This is only the start of the match Elder, more Pokemons are waiting to shine."
"Is that so? Hehe... Let's see what you've got. Druddigon, ready for action!"
"Alright then, I'll stay with Zoroark."
"Let the match continue!" Camellia proclaims.
"Zoroark, Flame Thrower!"
"Druddigon, use Double Team!"
*The foe sends out multiple copies of itself, causing Zoroark to miss. It's evasiveness rose while at the same time, Zoroark's accuracy decreases gravely.*
"Druddigon, Dragon Claw!"
"Zoroark, intercept with Night Slash!"
Amidst the flakes of soil, the two Pokemons battled out with their claws and paws. Each of them tried earnestly to look for a way to hit either the head, chest, or legs.
"Quick Zoroark! Kick the leg. Use Night Slash afterward." I command, after seeing the Pokemon's weak point.
Zoroark's powerful kick causes the foe to stumble, giving an opportunity for Zoroark. In a blink of an eye, Zoroark slashes the foe's face, dealing an extreme amount of damage. However, despite all the damage, it managed to stand firm in the midst of zugzwang.
"We are not done yet. Druddigon, Hyper Beam!" The Elder instructs, blowing my Zoroark with a powerful move that even now, I have not find a way to counter such an attack.
"Zoroark, can you still stand?" I query.
"I can." She replies in a stuttering manner, forcing her legs to stand from the ground.
"Finish Zoroark with Dragon Claw, Druddigon." She instructs.
"Quick, Flame thrower right now!" I command, yet the attack ceased to damage Druddigon due to its fast pace. Towards Zoroark, it travels in a zigzag position in order to dodge the attack.
Before hitting Zoroark, she counters right away with Night Slash. Dragon Claw against Night Slash once more, who will triumph over each other? With her remaining strength despite being hit by a powerful move, she manages to let her passion erupt.
"Come on Druddigon! I know you can do this, keep it up." The elder cheers, rooting for her Pokemon.
"We can't allow this to happen. We shouldn't lose, Zoroark, full power!" I encourage, trying to strengthen her passion for winning. Meanwhile, in the background, Kira and Glade can be found, trying to observe the match closely.
"Strange. Why didn't Druddigon rest after using Hyper Beam?" Glade questions.
"Perhaps, the elder has trained Druddigon to fight even with a low energy. I've read it in a magazine once. It is truly possible."Kira replies.
Who will triumph? Who will fall? The match has only begun, and things are starting to intensify. Zoroark vs Druddigon! What other Pokemons is the Elder trying to hide? Only time will tell the answer as the journey continues!
