Kapitel 169: EPISODE 169: Rise of the Grand Mafia!
The night was silent at first. Everybody headed back to their homes after the last match of the Aulmurus gym challenge. Me and my Pokemons were able to triumph over the city's gym, and claim the sixth Pokemon badge. Now, only two cities remain, Glacevelt city and Dracovolt city.
From an aroma of peace oozing through the sky, comes nightmares and screams of the people. Out of nowhere, the Masked Revelations bombed the bank of Aulmurus city, causing havoc, panic, and alarm throughout the streets.
For years, Laurenburg's grand mafia has been hiding in the shadows due to the lack of members. It seems to me, that they have risen once more, with goals to be the number one wealthiest organization. The hierarchy of the Masked Revelations, or the grand Mafia of Laurenburg includes Three admins and one boss. The boss of the mafia changes once the current boss is either killed, assassinated by soldiers, or even if the boss somehow gets arrested.
Never mess with these kinds of people, they're a group who just want to steal and gain money by Pokemons or by pilfering. If Kanto has Rocket, Laurenburg has the Masked Revelations.
"We request everyone to stay indoors. Please refrain from passing through St.Bernard street. The royal family is doing whatever it can to find the cause of the explosion." The speakers around the city was suddenly turned on. A loud announcement and warning has been called out while knights proceeded to the scene of havoc.
One Hour Ago...
In front, two knights were suddenly attacked by two members of the mafia. The grunts placed a mask on both of the knight's eyes, which caused their body to lose control.
It looks like their latest invention could also manipulate human actions aside from Pokemon. The knights suddenly stopped attacking and let the two grunts inside the bank.
"Everybody on the ground now!" One of the grunts shouted loudly. They sent out their Pokemons to scare away the people's confidence to challenge them.
The other grunt held a suitcase on his left hand. He walked to the counter with an arrogant posture while everybody sat on the ground.
"The boss has an important message for you." The other grunt shouted in front of the cashier lady and opened the suitcase. There was a small monitor inside the suit, it also had a speaker and a map.
The Cashier Lady was speechless as the grunt's Pokemon glared at her. Worry and fear possessed the cashier's lady as she slowly wore the headphones.
"Good evening. I am the boss of the Masked Revelations, and you are?" A Neuro voice communicated through the headphone and monitor. The Masked Revelations uses a Neuro voice or a computer voice in other terms, so that the gender of their leader would remain a secret.
"M... my name is Tessa." The cashier lady uttered with a trembling voice. No one could hear their conservation except for the two of them.
"Ah, Tessa. That's a nice name. Now, I need you to take a deep breath alright?"
"R... Right." Tessa's eyes began to flow with tears due to the fear which succumbs her body.
"Now Tessa, I want you to get a pen and a piece of paper."
"R... right."
"Do you have it already?"
"Y... yes, the paper and pencil are with me."
"Great, now I want you to list down all my requests copy?"
"I got it..."
"Alright. My request is simple and easy to do. All I ask is 37 Billion Pokemon, got that? A truck will arrive later after thirty minutes, you can see the truck's location on the monitor of the screen.
I am only giving you thirty minutes to gather all the money. If the timer on this suitcase ticks to zero, the whole bank will be bombarded by an incoming airstrike. Place the money on the arriving truck and I'll let you and the hostages free got that?
Don't even try to call the police, I have hacked the bank's telecommunication systems. I control the screens, monitors, and telephones of this bank. My men are watching you, so you better do my request or everyone will meet their fate.
Oh and another thing? I'm the driver of the truck. If you dare do any tricks up your sleeves I can send the airstrike immediately. I have eyes on you, got it Tessa?
Now, let the game begin!" The timer suddenly opened. 30 minutes has been set while the people worry and panic for their lives. They silent pray for hope and help to arrive.
Tessa rushed to the Bank Vault with worry and fear. The lives of children, Pokemon, and adults are at stake. The two grunts however, watched the hostages with their Pokemons. It was a race against time for Tessa.
"10 minutes remaining!" The grunts shouted while Tessa hurried even faster.
"Here, I have the money. Now take it." Tessa rushed to the counter with six bags filled with pure golden money. She handed them over to the grunts before the white truck arrived.
"The truck is here. Bring the money to the back, and we'll turn off the airstrike." The grunts pulled Tessa's ear and demanded loudly.
The two knights which were controlled by the grunts stood still and made no sudden movements. It was like they were statues and sculptures. Tessa dragged the six bags of money to the back of the truck.
"Officer Jenny! Officer Jenny! The CCTV's, they're glitching! We couldn't see anything." One officer reported and rushed to officer Jenny's room.
"The CCTV's!? Check the source file if it's corrupted. try rebooting the systems."
"We tried officer Jenny. Someone has completely hacked the whole security system of the city. Even the radio stations and telecommunication services are experiencing the same problem."
"The hacker must've hacked the systems for some reason. Send a squad to patrol the city, and search for any troubles!" Officer Jenny of Aulmurus City instructed.
"Yes Officer! We'll do it right away"

"There, I have placed everything on the truck. What else do you want me to do? Please let us free!" Tessa knelt and begged to the two grunts.
"Oi Carlos, the police are patrolling the area!" One of the grunts reported while looking at the GPS in the suitcase.
"They've probably noticed that the systems have been hacked. We have to leave immediately!" The other grunt responded.
"Leave the timer! Get to the truck right now!" One window opened from the truck as another grunt peeked out and instructed the grunts to return.
"Right, go! go! go!" The grunts hurried and left the timer ticking down.
"Hey, the airstrike, you promise to turn it off." Tessa pulled the grunt's leg and begged them to save their lives.
"Jokes on you mate! We're going now." The grunts smiled arrogantly and left the bank. They locked the bank doors and kept the hostages inside.
"No! No! Don't leave us here." Tessa begged while banging the two doors. The people tried to open the doors with the help of their Pokemons but the lock was too heavy and strong.
[10 Seconds remaining!] The timer warned.
"Go! Keep on pushing! Keep on pushing!" The people shouted with encouragement.
[5... 4... 3... 2... 1.... 0] The timer has ticked to the final second as a bomb launched towards them. The white truck left the scene with the six bags of cash.
"Mother mercy, Arceus save us all." The people begged. They could hear the bomb descending from the sky.
<Boom!>The bomb exploded and wrecked the whole bank. The two knights who were controlled by the grunts were killed alongside with the hostages inside. Fire blazed at the bank and caught the patrolling officer's attention.
Smoke oozed everywhere, the sky filled with haze as the fire spread like wildfire. It continued to burn down the whole Aulmurus bank while the Pokemon Fire Department rushed to the scene.
Minutes later, me and my friends I arrived alongside with the princess of Aulmurus city. We saw the Firemen putting out the fire while the police carried the dead bodies to the ambulance.
"We were too late. We could have saved all of them." Thalia knelt in disappointment as tears slowly flowed through her eyes.
"Shaymin, stay with me alright. Don't go too far." I suddenly became alerted due to the incident here. It reminded me of the fake Silver-heart lab incident. I remembered the screams, the fire, and the pain which oozed through every professor in the lab.
"The Masked Revelations is surely the reason behind all of this. They are the only group of people who chase for money and wealth. If only if I arrived sooner, these children and Pokemons would've lived longer." Thalia uttered solemnly when suddenly the large screen hanging above the counter, which is the only thing that survived after the explosion, opened.
A silhouette of a tall girl with a long hair sitting on a black throne appeared on the screen. Everybody's attention was caught especially the Pokemon Police Department who are eager to find the grand mafia.
"Hehe... looks like I've won again." The girl uttered boastfully while rubbing a Persian on lying down on her lap.
"I will find you, and I will order my men to execute you. You have killed the lives of more than fifty children, ninety adults, one cashier lady, two guards, and a whole lot of Pokemons." Thalia shouted and infuriated.
"That's if you can. Let the world know about us. Let the news spread like wildfire. You should be thankful that I didn't burn the whole city. Hehe, tell the world that the grand Mafia has risen once more. The Masked Revelations won't fail this time." The girl beamed arrogantly as she shuts down the screen.
The systems suddenly returned to normal, while everyone was left with anger. "Burn the city..." I uttered softly while recalling something from my mind.
"Princess Thalia, what are we going to do know?" Camellia questioned.
"I need you to continue your journey. Let me handle the crisis here in Aulmurus city. I'm sure that my mother and father have planned something already."
"Princess Thalia! An estimated amount of 37 billion has been stolen by the Masked Revelations." An officer reported.
"How many were left?"
"The money burned, alongside with the vault."
"Alright, thank officer. Let the Pokemon Police Department and Pokemon Royal Knights Association deal with this. What is happening to the world?
First, the champion died, and now? A new crisis begins." Thalia beamed with frustration while clenching both of her fists.
"K... Kalem, it will be safer if the three of you proceed to the next city. I will deal with this problem, don't worry. Glacevelt city is only five routes away from here." Thalia suggested.
"But Thalia, we want to help you." Glade interrupted.
"No thank you. Aulmurus city can deal with this crisis alone. Now go leave early tomorrow, and good luck with your gym battle in Glacevelt city. I still don't know who the gym leader of Glacevelt city is."
From a silent night to a chaotic nightmare, the news spread throughout the region. The Masked Revelation is officially back. Only time will tell the Mafia's next steps.
"Arville, I have the money, it will be sent to you immediately."
"I knew that I could trust you and your Mafia. Let the partnership between team Chaos and the Masked Revelation strengthen!" Arville proclaimed while talking to the leader of the Masked Revelations through a small network.
"As you wish. What's the next step Arville? Shall we burn more banks?"
"The money will be used for operation Omega. I need you and your mafia to search for Mewtwo."
"Mewtwo!? The legendary Pokemon? Finding it will be minimal to none."
"Not if you have the support of my regime." Arville leaned his head forwards and grinned.
