Kapitel 7: Not Too Bad
"Thank you."
The lady put her right hand on her chest and bowed as she spoke. The little girl, seeing her mother do this tried to copy her.
"T-thank you."
This feeling... really wasn't so bad. Before I could enjoy it anymore I heard another blood curdling scream from the village. Right, other areas were still under attack, I had gotten caught up in the situation here. My first instinct is to flee, I am not a hero, and I am not brave. Honestly what just happened now was probably a fluke.
As I was contemplating where I should run to I heard the small voice again.
"Please...help us."
I turned to see the little girl staring at me with a determined look on her face. Her hands here balled up into little fists, it seemed that she tried her best to ask for aid. She didn't even stutter once, can you teach me this trick?
"W-well I-I..."
I started to try and make an excuse, but was interrupted by the mother.
"Please! I beg you! Help our village, I'll...I'll talk to the chief, we'll give you anything! I promise!"
I was dumbfounded, no one had ever asked me for help before other than to grab something from a high shelf for them. Even then, it was less of "ask" and more "ordered". Again... this feeling wasn't so bad. Looking between the two of them, for some reason I couldn't stop myself from speaking.
"I-I will try."
I looked at the body of the two dead... bandits? Let's call them bandits for now. I looked at the 2 dead bandits and settled my eyes on the stronger looking of the two.
"Arise and serve me."
