Kapitel 188: The thing was creepy

Yuan Xuelan was heaving, his muscles already sapped of strength.

He gritted his teeth, staring at the terrible statue as it stood deceptively still in the middle of the hall. Over the past few moments, he had found out a couple of things.

For one, the statue would blink in and out of reality or space as soon as he took his eyes off it. He couldn't confirm it outright, but despite its hulking size and massive weight, the statue never left any marks on the floor or walls. There were no indents around its feet, no scars left on the walls aside from Yuan Xuelan barreling into them. 

Another thing was that annoying barrier that reflected any attacks that came too close. It would instantly throw Yuan Xuelan backward with a force that he could hardly retaliate against. Frustration was gnawing, but he already pulled out a hefty arsenal of tricks.

Nothing worked.
