Chapter 44 — Great Spirit Arena Of Heaven Dou City.
The Emperor Team and Ning Chen were currently waiting on the training ground. They were all waiting for Qin Ming's arrival because they have a class today.
Qin Ming soon arrived and hurriedly apologized for being late, but all of his students said it was fine since they have also only arrived recently.
"Teacher, what's our training today?" Ning Chen asked curiously.
"A good question, Ning Chen. Today's training will completely different and it's something more exciting," Qin Ming said while wearing a light smile.
All of them grew intrigued and excited hearing those words. In truth, their recent training was getting repetitive and boring.
They only hoped this was gonna be a good change of pace.
Qin Ming was delighted to see them getting interested, "The training will be about gaining combat experience, which means you guys will fight against each other peoples!"
"....!" The Emperor Team exclaimed hearing that and smiled savagely.
This training was the thing they truly wanted to experience.
Ning Chen wasn't an exception either.
"Where would we fight, teacher?" Yu Feng or rather, Bai Chenxiang asked excitedly.
Qin Ming chuckled and responded, "Where else other than the Great Spirit Arena?"
Ning Chen's eyes widened after hearing that place being mentioned.
He knew that the Great Spirit Arenas of the Heaven Dou City was a colossal colosseum. It's even be said to be a sign of a city's and nation's wealth and power.
It was also a place where countless Spirit Masters would gather and fight to earn money or either train.
The fights were divided according to Spirit Ranks and according to the Spirit Fighter Badges. The higher the rank of the Spirit Fighter Badge, the more money obtained in return.
Although Ning Chen haven't actually went toward that place himself, he knew many people would also come to watch the fight and he even heard about the infamous Grudge matches that can results in death.
Qin Ming and The Emperor Team started discussing about their goals and battle formation.
It was soon decided that they were going first reach silver fighter badge and go with the usual battle formation.
Ning Chen was listening at the side, but when he saw he was gonna be included in the battle formation, he raised his hand.
"What is it?" Qin Ming raised his brows and wondered why Ning Chen raised his hand.
"I will not join the battle formation because the others will not benefit much and I will instead make things easy for them."
Qin Ming pondered over Ning Chen's words deeply and realized he was right.
Ning Chen was stronger than all of the Emperor Team combined. If he joined, the purpose of this training was gonna be useless.
"I understand, but you can still join a 1v1 battles or ask someone to join you in 2v2 battles," Qin Ming instructed.
Ning Chen nodded and wondered who he was gonna invite for an 2v2 battle. He then saw Bai Chenxiang looking at him, as if saying she would join him.
However, he ignored her for the moment and decided It was the best to invite Xue Beng.
Xue Beng had recently reached rank 31 and gained his third spirit ring secretly without anyone noticing with the help of Ning Chen.
It might sounded easy, but it took them a lot of effort to gain that spirit ring without anyone noticing.
Ning Chen had learned more things about Xue Beng like how he had a good sense for making money. But it was currently worthless since he wasn't even trying to use it.
He had also learned more about Xue Beng's fears, the mysteries covering the imperial family and his feelings about the impostor.
Xue Beng didn't actually hated the impostor for killing the second and third prince. He instead feared and disliked the impostor for bringing him too much anxiety, unknown fear and nightmares.
And the most shocking thing Ning Chen heard from Xue Beng was about Xue Qinghe being the impostor, but it was just a faint suspicion from Xue Beng.
Still, it sticked into Ning Chen's mind like a parasite and he couldn't stop thinking about what if Xue Qinghe was the Impostor?
Ning Chen couldn't care less about the Heaven Dou Empire, but he didn't liked people lying to him.
He looked toward the sky and asked himself.
Was Xue Qinghe really his friend or his enemy?

Qin Ming, Ning Chen, and The Emperor Team took a luxurious carriage toward the Great Spirit Arena Of Heaven Dou City.
Ning Chen had tried inviting Xue Beng, but the latter insisted it was still dangerous for him to roam around and show his strength even with disguise.
He could only shrug his shoulder and agreed to his friends wish. He didn't wanted to force Xue Beng when his fears weren't something light.
Xue Beng realized that and was deeply grateful, his respect for Ning Chen increasing.
The luxurious carriage soon arrived at the Great Spirit Arena and they all entered inside the lobby room.
Qin Ming handed them a bronze fighter badge and then said their first team battle was gonna later.
There was still many time left, so he told them to either explore that city or try fighting at the arena.
Ning Chen chose to fight inside the arena and he looked toward Bai Chenxiang who also looked at him with hopeful eyes.
He saw her wanting to team up for a double battle.
However, he smiled teasingly and quickly went toward the solo battle registration office.
"That bastard! He's doing this on purpose!" Bai Chenxiang gritted her teeth, but decided to watch Ning Chen's battle.
She wanted to see Ning Chen fighting again since it was quite cool when he's fighting.

Ning Chen went toward the solo battle registration office.
He handed a bronze badge to the staff member of the spirit arena.
"I would like to participate in a solo match."

"The registration fee are five spirit gold coins and also a proper nickname for yourself," The staff member replied curtly.
Ning Chen didn't cared about the fee since he was rich, having mountains of money inside his spatial ring. He can also earn it back if he win the match.
After thinking for a suitable nickname for a few minutes, he finally made up his mind.
"Set my nickname as Sword Peak."
This nickname wasn't really that special since it just suddenly crossed his mind, but it's core was about his sword and a peak of a mountain.
"Your registration has been completed," The staff member handed back the badge to him.
Ning Chen can now see a design of a sword embedded at a mountain peak at his bronze badge.
"Arrange an opponent for me too."
The staff member nodded his head, "We will arrange your match soon. Please wait on the lounge until then."
Ning Chen went toward the lounge and waited patiently.
Fortunately, many people were entering the spirit arena to fight and earn some money, so he was quickly able to have his match.
"Ladies and gentlemen! On our seventh match, we have our contestant, Sword Peak against the Vicious Monkey!" The host announced loudly toward the audience.
The many spectators began to cheers loudly as soon as they heard that.
Ning Chen walked toward the arena while wearing a silver mask with a sword design at the middle.
Arriving on the stage, he saw a muscular middle-aged man standing infront of him.
Although he didn't know his spirit, it seems like it would be somewhat related to a monkey and the man was also rank 43.
Ning Chen was rank 44, but it was because he was focusing on compressing his spirit power to be more concentrated and make his foundation rock solid.
And by also doing this, it would be great for his fourth spirit ring in the future.
The monkey man looked toward Ning Chen direction and snorted coldly.
His opponents this time looked too young and inexperienced. A great example of a weakling and snotty brats.
"Brat, instead of wasting my time, you should just go back to sucking your mom's sagging boobs, so I can quickly get my money," The man said while laughing loudly.
He then noticed Ning Chen's face appearing to be handsome, "Oh, your face looks nice. I bet your mommy will also taste great." He licked his lips while grinning.
The spectators laughed loudly after hearing those words and were expecting Ning Chen to feel angry or crying.
Ning Chen furrowed heavily and a vicious glint flashed within his eyes.
Anyone was allowed to mock him and he wouldn't get angry, but daring to insult and laugh his mother?
They were simply courting death!
"Silence," Ning Chen uttered coldly and his voice brought shivers to all of their spines.
The spectators trembled and unknowingly felt afraid of Ning Chen.
Ning Chen looked toward the man and spirit rings slowly rose up from his feet, appearing to be magnificent.
"As of now before my presence, you all don't have the right to open your mouth," Ning Chen commanded coldly with four ominous spirit rings rotating behind him.
A formless and extremely heavy pressure descended over the whole arena.
It even suppressed all of the spectators to the point they were frozen completely and sweating with cold sweats.
However, the one to truly bear the pressure was the monkey man.
"You shouldn't mention my mother with your nasty mouth," Ning Chen as his hand pressed down.
The monkey man suddenly felt the suppression growing stronger, wanting him to kneel before Ning Chen.
He quickly released his own spirit rings to counter the pressure and glared angrily at Ning Chen.
"You damn disrespectful brat! I will fucking teach you the proper attitude right here and right now!"
"Then show it to me, to all the people watching us! Show them how you will teach me a lesson, but don't you dare embarrass yourself! Especially, when there's a lot of people watching! You'll only end up as a laughing stock — a clown!" Ning Chen spouted viciously with his anger not cooling down.
Bai Chenxiang was staring at Ning Chen with her mouth opened widely while spectating.
She didn't knew how Ning Chen could spout those words so viciously.
However, this is merely the result of living with someone who also had a vicious mouth.
"You shut your mouth! If you dare to utter another word, I'll kill you!" The monkey man said with his face turning completely red.
"Kill me? Do you even the have strength to back your words?" Ning Chen ridiculed.
"Fine, I'll show my despicable power to you, so make sure to not regret making me angry!" The monkey man transformed, becoming something that resembled an ape.
He rushed toward Ning Chen while releasing a savage light from his eyes.
"You'll be the only one to regret making me angry," Ning Chen said while smiling coldly.
Ning Chen didn't moved from his place and waited for the monkey man to approach.
20 meters...
10 meters...
5 meters... The monkey man bloodthirsty smile grew bigger each time he got nearer to Ning Chen.
However, all of his hairs suddenly stood straight as pure horror flashed inside his eyes.
<Flame Stance: Reduce All Creation To Ashes>
Swoosh!!
A wave of crimson flames covered the man's vision and it soon devoured him completely as an excruciating wound appeared on his chest.
He vividly felt his entire being swallowed by flames, his skin, flesh, organs, and bones melting into liquids — but it was all his imagination brought by Ning Chen's flame sword intent.
The flames vanished without any traces, the man saw a terrifying burn at his chest and a deep diagonal line to it with blood pouring without stopping.
The man fell toward the ground on his knees while staring at Ning Chen's face.
Ning Chen face was expressionless as he sheathed his sword back.
"As expected, a mere human trash that can only bark."
Those were the last words the man could hear before he fainted in shame.
A strange silence descended over the whole stage.
"...Winner... Sword Peak...!" The host declared loudly, but Ning Chen had already walked away, feeling unpleasant under their gazes
After he left, the crowds were still silent and didn't moved from their spot.
It was the best and fastest fight they have ever seen!
However, it was also the most horrifying thing they witnessed. When Ning Chen had drew his blade, they suddenly felt a sharp sword pointing at their throats.
It caused them to see themselves dying and melting their whole body.
In the end, they all started to blame everything toward the unconscious monkey man and started throwing trash at him.
It was all simply the monkey man's fault and because of him, they even got involved!
...
Two months later...
The Emperor Team had finally achieved silver rank fighter badge after fighting against many teams.
Ning Chen also found their teamwork and combat experiences growing significantly.
And the people with the most biggest contribution was Yu Feng, Yu Tianheng and Xie Lingling with her heals.
Ning Chen fought many battles as well and It was either 1v1 battles and sometimes 2v2 battles with Bai Chenxiang.
Now, he was also a silver rank.
He also gained a new reputation in the Great Spirit Arena and earned the title 'Absolute Swordsman'.
It was because he was able to quickly defeat his enemy by just drawing his sword once and if not one, then twice.
After finally obtaining their silver badge, Qin Ming said that they were going toward the Soutou City next.
He said it was gonna be more interesting and rewarding at that city.
Ning Chen was also excited to go there because as far as he know, his sister was currently at that city.
She was also with her teammates.
He was curious to meet with them and if by chance, he found out that they were bullying his sister, only god will know what awaited then...

So lesson learned, don't insult Ning Chen's family :)
